Maxy's Story: Maxy was found stray/abandoned and unclaimed in a Welsh pound. Rescue Remedies offered a rescue place, saving his life. Maxy came to us as a young dog. He is a lovely, dinky terrier - a real head-turner! Maxy meets other dogs well and can be vocal in his excitement. He enjoys a game of fetch. Maxy is now neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Maxy is kennelled near Gatwick whilst he awaits his home.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance, and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

I met Maxy for the first time yesterday and we had a lovely walk. He loves to be outside and kept up a brisk pace. Sometimes he got quite excited, and very terrier like, when he spied or sniffed something that I wasn't aware of. He is a dear little chap and likes to have a head scratch even during our walk. He is so dinky and was much admired by various people whom we met during out walk. Everything crossed for a happy homing for this little dog in the very near future. :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: Lovely photo - thank you Charlie. :thanks.gif:

Maxy is an endearing little terrier and is so full of energy. He can't wait to get out of his pen and into the woods. He walks fast, showing an interest in everything around him in true terrier fashion. He really needs his own home where he can let off steam and be showered with love and affection. Let's hope that comes along soon. :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:

Today was my first meeting and walk with Maxy and this inquisitive chap seemed to be interested in everything.
The rain had revitalized all the smells and lots of animals came out for a drink, much to Maxy's enjoyment.
We started off at quite a pace but soon settled down to a good walking speed. He got on well with other dogs we met and is happy to investigate things on route.
The rain was quite strong whilst we were walking so we headed for the poets hut where Maxy enjoyed a chance to dry off and some treats. He appeared to enjoy being away from the barking so we sat for awhile and watched the rain.
I enjoyed my time with Maxy and look forward to my next walk with him.
Thank you for a great first walk.
