Met the lovely boy Gizmo yesterday, what a total sweetie, I really expected a big Staffie, but he is so dinky and wriggly.
H ehas not been out since his op, so took him in paddock first, to make sure he was ok, he was. lol
We then went for a short walk, which he enjoyed, what a boy, I do hope his eyes get better. Carried him in and out of kennels, as he seemed a bit scared.
Only one pic sorry not brilliant

Poor Gizmo has been through a lot but hopefully if this surgery works well he will have a little more sight and I am sure he will appreciate that.

Lets hope a foster comes up for him to recover in a lovely warm home

Sweet, sweet Gizmo. Survived Alice shouting at him down 3 motorways on the way home (THAT was an interesting journey! ) and we were all so happy to see the house! Paul took Miss Grumpy off for a spin while I introduced our guest to his lodgings. When she came back, amazingly, they settled together so quickly and were soon tearing in and out, playing, panting & tumbling around. You wouldn't know that Gizmo's eyes were a problem without looking closely. He quickly familiarises himself with his surroundings and just gets on with life. I saw him with a cat at the vets and can vouch for the fact that there was no flicker of interest. He can definitely see quite a lot. Such a darling.

Lucky Gizmo on a lovely holiday to recover from all he has been through. How lovely for him to have a loving peaceful home to be in. Lots of love being sent to him by lots of people.

Gizmo had a trip to Christabel our vet on the way to foster. Alice (new foster sister) commanded the treat scene whilst Gizmo on the table melted Christabel with his charms. We are all delighted by the outcome of his latest eye ops, as is Gizmo. He is now able to see straight ahead and blink What vision he has is optimized..and he still has a little way to go on the healing. No doubt Mozartsgirl will get some lovely pics of his ever improving eyes, when she has a moment!

We just got back from our first walk - a bit of an ordeal thanks to Alice, but Gizmo is so accepting and docile. He met lots of different dogs beautifully, would have loved to run off with them for a good play. He could see dogs quite far away and followed them with his eyes beautifully. Several people were so shocked when they came up close, had no idea about his eyes at all before seeing that they are slightly different. Typical sweet compact staffy, loving and gentle.
