Dad came home yesterday and is doing remarkably well ....they are still unpacking ...i think the stress made mum emotional ....they only lived at the top of our road so they havent moved far !!!!
Their house was a 2 bed semi ....the garden was dads pride and joy .....but he hasnt been able to maintain the house and the Garden was becoming harder to upkeep.....
They are now in the bottom of our garden in a self contained 2 bed detached bungalow annexe .....its where we lived for 11years ...we took the ceilings out in the lounge diner and made vaulted ceilings. ...put in a glass wall with double doors ...had a kitchen handmade ....it was our dream home ....but inlaws need more help and the cost of a rest home for both of them would have eaten their money in 2 years.....they are independent with personal care and day to day but if they get less independent we will be here for them ......with moving solicitors fees and estates agents cut ... (house sold for £250,000)the fees came to £4,100 ......i thought was very good.......
They both seem very very happy love4.gif

Mum had a stroke yesterday causing a massive bleed in her brain ....she was coherent until about 8pm last night where the bleed has caused such swelling she is now in a coma ....so sad that she has only had 2 weeks in her new home where she seemed so happy. ...dads leg has healed and he is doing ok all things considered. ....she is receiving care from the end of life nurses smiley-sad010.gif

Kara and Bob, 'Mum' left you knowing how much you cared and knowing your love and caring would continue for Bob's father. It helps greatly at the time of departure if your worries are allayed and your loved one is safe and cared for. Thank you for everything you both offered and are offering. Sad times heart felt love...

On wed last week mum and dad went to Debenhams. .the lift was out of action so were told to use the escalator. ...when they got to the top bobs mum didnt take her feet off in time and fell flat on her face ....she knocked a tooth out , bruised her face hands and knees .....the staff Did Not call paramedics instead they got her up and put them in a staff car and bought them home 35 min journey this happened at 11 am....at 1pm dad phoned me and asked me to see her as she was very confused since the fall .....Well she was a shock to see ...blood coming from her mouth , very bruised and talking in riddles. ..i immediately phoned her GP (practice is 5 min down road ) she came out within 10 mins .....she suspected mum may have had a stroke ...she had one 18 mths ago and was now on a high dose of blood thinning meds hence quick bruising and bleeding ....she called an ambulance. ..that took 2 hrs to arrive ...but they were marvellous. ....At 530pm she went into hospital ....The following night at 930pmshe had passed away ......She hadnt had a stroke ...the fall had caused a blood vessel to erupt in her brain and had caused severe swelling ...there would have been nothing anyone could have done ....she went into a coma at 1130pm wed night so we know she wouldnt have suffered ....
It wasnt a few weeks ago we nearly lost dad due to an auyseum in his leg going ......
She had 90 yrs of a good life xxxx
