Hooch enjoyed a shady woodland walk today and it suited him very well
We popped into the poets hut, which was very very warm so Hooch was happy to accept a drink of water from Charlie

I love spending time with Hooch. I have seen him come into RR as a pup and grow in a wonderful dog. He always remains upbeat and I think that shows what a resilient character he is considering kennels can be tough for any dog, let alone for one so young. He really enjoys his walks and will snuffle around taking in all the smells. He is much more affectionate than when he first come in, he adores back scratches, ear rubs, belly rubs, you name it! I get a quick kiss as well when he is being soppy!
His mouthing on walks has really reduced. I can not remember the last time I have even seen him do it. I think I have got to know his ways and him mine so we have built a trust together. I am always aware with Hooch that the mouthing could start. I never expect anything of him, he has not had a very enriching start to life and then has found himself in kennels, but he always impresses me with how he tries to do the right thing and keeps developing. I have never seen any edge or aggression with Hooch, he doesn't react to being barked at by other dogs and is always very polite around them.
I have walked him with many new walkers in recent months and all of them have thought he is a handsome, well behaved dog. I love HoochySmooch to bits and really hope there will be a home that will recognise his skills and help develop the ones he never got a chance to.

Jim and I took Hooch for a lovely walk yesterday. He really enjoyed himself investigating all the new smells in the wood. Hooch is getting quite the expert at hunting out the deer tracks. He loves looking out for squirrels and is happy to stand and watch them running in the branches. Always a treat to walk this handsome boy xx

Today was a good day for Hooch. He walked really well and was settled throughout his walk.
He met a few iffy circumstances and triumphed over them.
When Hooch is in this mindset he is great to walk and his confidence grows.
There was a lot of wildlife around today but that didn't seem to bother him.
Well done Hooch for an assertive and calm walk. Keeping an eye on the wildlife. I'm keeping an eye on you Robin. I'm still watching you.
