Yes, I'm the lucky one to have this beauty in foster over the bank holiday weekend and a sunny one too, how good can it get
Grace travelled really well, interested in where we were going and tummy and ear tickles too On arrival she was keen to get inside and to my surprise (given how the big wide world seems to phase her at kennels) keen to explore my garden - with a real joy in her step
After that cuddles and snoozing on the sofa were in order after enjoying her dinner ofcourse. Grace has also proven herself house trained, out for bedtime 'business' last night and all good until this morning when we popped to the garden at 6.30 where she obliged again and then back to bed for more snoozies and a lovely long Saturday lie in
The conservatory doors are now open and its lovely to see Grace being her independent self, exploring when she wants to, playing with a ball, coming and going outside and in and absolutely relaxed and a total joy to be with Grace is one adorable, loving, lovely, gentle, kind and beautiful girl with an equally beautiful nature
And time for some upside down rolling too
Seeing her like this makes you realise how challenging kennel life is for Grace and also what a resilient, amazing girl she is to trust so quickly and lose all those anxieties the moment she returned to a more normal doggie life, totally LOVE her
Come on Grace's new family, she'll fit right in and bring happiness in bounds into your life
Well what can I say, Grace is amazing, absolutely loves home life and has been good as gold with none of her kennel anxiety in evidence at all - it really is a privilege to see the true character of these beauties emerge, and in Grace's case it was instant - I can honestly say it feels as if she's been here an age rather than one night - and bear in mind I'd only briefly said hello to Grace before she hopped into my passenger seat and travelled home with me last night after walking.Grace Staffie x DofB 2010? Recalling the lovely Rowan who is now homed with the lovely JoJo I wondered whether if we drove a short way that would be easier for Grace, so we drove up to the common - still too much too soon for dearest Grace but we sat on the common and had cuddles instead And then did the same from the car, all to try to build up Grace's confidence Bless her she was very pleased to get back to my front door and get inside

Grace enjoyed a bit of an adventure last night
She went to the pub
Given how Grace is very uncertain of the big outside world we weren't sure how she would cope ... but what a success
Charlie & Bill collected us enroute and we parked in the pub car park, out jumped Grace and we were in the pub garden - despite it being very different to my garden, not that enclosed and lots more people around Grace was very very happy indeed, she just knew it was a garden and garden's are great places she enjoys "Mmmmm that looks good" said Grace !!! she was drooling watching Charlie tuck into her scallops !!! "Quite like the look of your fishcake too Sarah !!!" We all had a lovely evening Well done beautiful Grace xxx

Amazing Grace, it has to be said
Grace has made us pleased as punch this afternoon
Her best friend Anne came to visit her and she was sooooo excited (Grace and Anne equally so I think !!!) Anne loved to see Grace so happy and relaxed and oh so very loving - Grace was thrilled to see Anne and loved showing her how she loved the garden, coming and going from inside - we sat outside for a cuppa and Grace just loved it, two humans to love who love her loads xxx
... and so we hatched a plan ! Grace had been so happy and relaxed in the pub garden last night we thought we'd try a short car trip to the common up the road, park up beside the grass and out onto the grass and see how Grace felt about walkies ...
Coming out my house Grace only had eyes for the car, no problem with that, in we all got and 2 minutes up the road, parked up beside the common and .....................
......................... much to our delight Grace loved walkies Words of encouragement and praise from both of us of we set across the common, her tail stayed up and her momentum forward and lots of 'good girls' from us and Grace forged on forwards She definitely feels safer walking on the grass, as we veered onto the pathway she'd feel a little uncertain and and when we came to cross the road she looked slightly anxious and her tail dipped between her legs but with our encouragement and enthusiasm Grace quickly decided she'd join back in and ran across the road to the grass on the other side, back along the opposite side of the common... Grace leading the way and choosing our direction, crossing over paths and ultimately choosing to walk along the pavement in the direction that was well away from my car so we let her lead and followed her - bless, we were sooooo proud, these are the heartburst moments to see our lovely dogs grow so in our care xxx Grace walked all along the path and turned left up the next road and we were back to the common again, but no rush back to the car, we meandered along and this time crossed the road without difficulty for Grace, she was enjoying herself, 20 mins of walkies
Exactly where Grace's confidence came from I'm not sure - relaxed down enough in foster this weekend ? both Anne and I with her, both trusted people ? not straight from the house ? I'm really not sure but it just goes to show with love and encouragement and an understanding owner Grace will thrive and all that confidence and love she already has indoors can with time and understanding be enjoyed outside too
Grace was very quick to jump back in the car but she did manage a quick drink from the dog bowl first and then home we went - big grins all round
Time for lollipops sat in the shade in the garden and Grace wanted to join in ! Who knew grace would love lemonade lollys but she did !! Onwards and upwards baby girl xxx
Anne then slipped away as I occupied Grace in the garden so as not to stress her, we practiced her 'paw, not that she needs practice, look at this accomplished little lady, adorable xxx
All that excitement made for a hungry and weary girl so an early dinner and now snoozing next to me on the sofa, such a special girl and will end this post as I started, Grace, super special girl, she really is Amazing Grace xxx

Another lovely walk from the car on the common this evening
Just with me this time so I didn't know how it would go but no hesitation from Grace at all, soooo proud of her
Now these videos and those 2 photos above may just be a doggie enjoying a walk in the evening sun but for me and those that have met Grace in kennels, this is priceless xxxxx
I should add we walked near to lorries, cars and motorbikes and Grace was supercool around all of them, no reaction at all, took them in her stride
Back in my car Grace likes to be on my knee for a cuddle, I know she knows how proud I am of her , i hold her tight and tell her what a clever brave girl she is xxx
Time for the off and I gesture to the passenger seat - look at this gorgeous girl with the loveliest smile, I think she's super pleased with herself too Best best girl
