Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters for at least 4 months until sure of their dogs instincts & skills, some need to be retained always on a lead, so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).
***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. Hi Lynne was wondering if you had any space for the urgent poundies? As usual kennels are full, the pound is full and I'm up against it. I will send you some we have that are all neutered, chipped and ready to go. I can make sure these are first vaccd if that helps x L
"Simon and Dixie, came in together, shared a kennel. He can be dominant over her, this has improved now both are neutered. She's a very sweet girl and calm, he's a very handsome boy, both love children."

Checking both Simon & Dixie's chips today I can declare Simon and Dixie are Litter Brother & Sister. We therefore needs to get them back sharing a kennel and home them together Bless them the trauma of ending up in Rescue at the age of 6 coming up for 7!

I walked these two today, Simon first and then Dixie, and what a gorgeous pair they are! Simon is bold and brave, nothing phased him including being jumped on by a Great Dane puppy ('is your dog friendly?' - bit late to ask dear when your puppy is not answering to his name!) I honestly think I saw Simon roll his eyes in disbelief! He gives the best face kisses and when I sat on a wet bench to make friends he was straight onto my lap.
Dixie is much more petite than her brother, gentle in every way, still gives kisses but they are more restrained. She walked on a loose lead most of the time, checking in with me frequently to make sure all was good, they both just nudge your leg from time to time to say hi, so cute. She has more of a puppy feel to her and in you haven't noticed I'm in love with the two of them. Some family will be very lucky to have them

I walked Dixie at the weekend. What a gorgeous girl. She is very affectionate and frequently stopped to be made a fuss off (by me and passerbys). The girl who works at the kennels said I would fall in love with her and she was right. She is a very pretty affectionate staffie.
We had a bit of an unfortunate incident when someone walking a larger dog for another rescue let go off their dogs lead. The dog then got hold of Dixies back in his mouth. Dixie was trying to scamper away and once separated Dixie seemed very unbothered by it all. She was very calm and happily walked back to the kennels.
Dixie doesn't pull on the lead and is a lovely girl to take out for a walk. She didn't seem to know the word sit but likes treats so I imagine would learn it quite quickly.

Ohhhhhh swoon, what a pair. We had the great pleasure of walking this lovely duo just before they entered Broxbourne kennels.
The light was really fading so excuse the poor quality pics!
They are both complete cuddle monsters and gained in confidence through human attentions even in just a short time with us.
Simon is the quintessential Staffie boy - a chatter box and a big baby.
Dixie is absolutely tiny and really perked up as our walk went on, having been a little shy to begin with. She was full of beans by the end and loves a tummy tickle.
They are ready to delight in their forever home
