We are so pleased Tedds has come into our care. He really hasn’t had a lot in his life & he is gaining confidence & learning how to walk on a lead & is becoming trusting of everyone who meets & gives him care. Yes Tedds is succeeding He can ‘rag’ the people he loves as if to play only witnessed it twice. Is a little clumsy but very well meaning. Experienced Staffie home. Meeting so many people & his heart opening to all. Fab boy

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters for at least 4 months until sure of their dogs instincts & skills, some need to be retained alway on a lead, so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Tedds' thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. This is the boy who now rags the people he likes and trusts as he tries to play. He is not easy or straight forward, will be 2nd on pts list but not easy. I got 2 out today so have 2 kennels both he and another were on pts list today if didn't move some.

Tedds is a staffie Boy entire. 2-4 yrs old. Teddy came into pound petrified. He spent a good few days panicked and shaking in his bed. He has slowly come out of his self. He doesn't seem to mind the other dogs. He is still wary of new people. Tedds has bonded mostly with a kennel girl and has started to rag her a bit, he only has eyes for her. He will need behaviour work to get him out of this a socialisation. He does make your heart melt when you look at him. X C

Tedds travelled well in the dog mobile and settled with Queenie the other side of the grid. You can see he is on alert and concerned though but receptive and easily managed in the vets. Tedds is now neutered and 1st vaccinated. He has commence a course of panacur as he bled a lot so we are eliminating lungworm as it presence can stop 'clotting' The course will eradicate it if present.

We had an 'entry to Rescue' walk and yes he was apprehensive, swaying from side to side with no sense that I was on the end of this lead. He pulled and I would have been very concerned had I dropped the lead where he would go and he would have been scared and need a sensitive approach to engage. This is very early days for Tedds however he has carried the 'money in the bank' i.e. the support he received in the pound he has carried that with him and hasn't stepped backwards. I have kept the blurry pictures in as they give you a sense of his fear based appreciation and how vulnerable he feels. Tedds hasn't had a good life, up until now!

How the dogs love to sleep when they get a break from kennel life thumbs.gif Tedds has relaxed after exploring the garden and having his dinner and snoozed away with lovely contented snortling all evening, comfy next to me on the sofa love4.gif

Tedds travelled well, initially exploring the back seat and footwells and then settling next to me on the passenger seat...

Enjoyed his dinner and did a nice sit for me :D

I bought Tedds a new cuddly toy as I stopped to top up on dog food on the way home, it soon became a mound of fluff !!! Didn't last long but Tedds had a thoroughly good time in true stuffy style :D
Note the fluff on the floor in the background !!!

Tedds was such a good boy :D

Out for his night time pee at 10.30pm and not up until nearly 7.30am this morning, brilliant all night, loved his warm comfy slumber and managed to make his way under the duvet at one point too. Lovely boy to snuggle :smiley-gen132.gif:

Housetraining 100% confirmed too thumbs.gif

Back up to bed for a short lie in and lovely to see Tedds so gentle loving and relaxed...

Such a sweetheart of a staffie, I feel he wears his heart on his sleeve and longs for a lovely home life, he has so much love to offer and I think finds kennels a scary place bless him.

Tedds would have stayed with me longer but beautiful Bertha was discharged from the vets today and needs a warm restful place to continue her recovery so Tedds being the gentleman he is headed over to Gatwick. After a short but lovely walk I popped him in the crate in the back of my car as I collected Bertha who had the front seat, good as gold bless him and a few cries to tug at my heart strings smiley-sad010.gif

We met Cora on arrival and Tedds took treats nicely, a little unsure due to the noise of the kennels but I gave him a cuddle and a pep talk and told him to be a brave boy and we headed to his kennel the girls had got ready for him. Tedds is now ready to greet the Gatwick walkers :D

Didn't he do well with you Sarah, but needs must. He so wants his forever home. Time and time again these lovelies prove how good they are in the home which rubber stamps the, why did it all go so wrong for them. I understand circumstances can and do change, it's a heartbreaker. :crossfingers.gif:

Met Tedds today, he was very friendly as I entered his kennel and was keen to be going out for a walk. He is quite strong but It is early days for him in Gatwick kennels and he is still quite young. We passed a couple of other dogs out walking, Tedds did not growl or bark he seemed to just want to go up and say hello. He is such a handsome gorgeous boy and does have a lovely nature. He didn't react to the other dogs when we went through the kennel block and was very gentle taking his goodies after our walk sitting nicely when asked. I hope he will find his forever home very very soon. love4.gif

Met Tedds today.
Easy to harness and keen to get on with the walk.
Tedds is quite an happy fellow very inquisitive about the surroundings very gentle when a treat is offered to him.
A bit unsure at the beginning but very quickly got on with his doggy business, sniffing around and scanning the woods.A very nice personality, would make a great addition to a family.
