Well Kyla is back with me. I picked her up Tuesday and normal service is resumed! Have just come back from a nice walk and she has just been fed so she seems quite happy. Some photos below of her yesterday playing with a toy donated by a neighbour.
By the way, Kyla would like to thank Liz for giving her a walk during her short stay at Chessington and to the kennel staff who work so hard and were kind to her. :smiley-gen132.gif:

Kyla is horizontal on the sofa right now! We have been out rambling with some friends ad round the Shere area. A jolly good walk was had by all topped off again with a pub lunch. She loves these walks! Oh and she laps up all the attention in the pub. No treats though wink.gif

Some pictures of the lovely Kyla earlier this morning lounging on the bed. Followed by playing with toys in the garden after a walk. And all before 10 o'clock. What a life!
Kyla is on a 'weight reduction programme' (diet) at the moment.

I love this time of year. Walking your dog without getting muddy, wearing only two layers, warm sunshine....and the start of the cricket season!
On that note we had a 'work party' at our club for volunteers to help to get things ship shape. I decided to do a bit and did some painting. I also decided to take Kyla rather than leave her at home. She was very well behaved. She loves it there and is getting quite popular. While i was busy painting she nade another little friend.

Wow, Kyla, I know you're on a diet but I didn't realise you had lost so much. You'll get me in trouble again! roflmao.gif

A little Kyla update. I'm writing this in the conservatory with the sun shining and a gentle breeze floating in. Kyla is pretending to be asleep at my feet. See photo (sorry about the legs).Life is so tough sometimes. Oh well, I shall just have to get on with it.
Kyla is an outdoor bird and loves a bit of currant bun (relax Lynne). :smiley-signs002.gif:
She loves the garden, chasing balls, sniffing, watching me gardening and growling at some tools (see photo) or just lolloping about.
I have been fostering Kyla for 16 months now. That's a long time. I did it for a week initially so she could recover from being spayed. I enjoyed having her so much that I extended her stay.......and here we are! I love Kyla I won't give up on her. It's coming to the time of year when I struggle to look after her as I have commitments two days a week and have to ask a couple of my nice neighbours to look in on her while i'm out. This seems to work out but I can't help feeling guilty about leaving her and don't want to overload them.
Are there any RR people near Worcester Park that could help?
Some photos......

I took Kyla to RR's vet Mark Nelson last week. Nothing serious..... she had an anal gland infection and is on antibiotics. Let's hope her problems will soon be .....er........behind her!
Kyla is great in the vets. She is a very smart dog and knows exactly where she is. Mark is always impressed with her accepting manner whilst she is being poked about. Another vet said she had the best set of choppers she had seen.
Kyla has a really good sense of smell. She likes to poke around in the garage in two specific areas. I think I have mice. See photos.

Kyla made me laugh yesterday. She has a habit of pinching one of my slippers to get my attention and taking it down the bottom of the garden so I have to plat with her. (She won't chew them though).
Yesterday, before I left her for a while I took her for a walk, then played with her and her favourite toy before having a coffee in the conservatory. Kyla then made of with one of my trainers and took it down the garden. I ignored her. She then did the same with a slipper. I continued with my coffee. She then made off with a towel. When that didn't work she came in to the conservatory and gave me the eye. See photos. I couldn't resist. Good girl Kyla love4.gif

Kyla has certain looks and expressions the meaning of which I am sure.
1. I want some of the food you are eating.
2. It's my lunch/tea time.
3. Isn't it time for walkies?
4. I want a cuddle.
5. I want you to play with me.
6. I love you.

A neighbour recently donated a toy for Kyla to play with. As she had plenty of other toys I put it away in the shed. Well, I got it out the other day and she loves it Heart fill with love.gif] :panting_dog-119.gif: mylove.gif
It's a doggy tyre and pretty sturdy (we shall see!) She likes me to roll it down the garden, she then chases it and brings it back. She is very obedient and gives it back on request. She also likes to give it a vigorous shaking! Good girl. See photos.
