PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters for at least 4 months until sure of their dogs instincts & skills, most of our dogs will need to be retained always on a lead, so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Tara's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Tara is everything which epitomises the wonderful staffy breed. Greeted like a long lost friend when I entered her kennel despite never meeting her before. I was covered in kisses and cuddles, her body doing happy, staffy wriggles the whole time. As the Tom Cruise film goes, 'she had me at hello'. Didn't want to take her far or do anything too strenuous after her vet visit yesterday so took her to the paddock - thought we could have a little cuddle in the shade. Well, that didn't go to plan....Tara spotted the remains of a destroyed ball and she was off.....absolutely delighted to find this treasure. I was a meany today and didn't play with her, didn't want her to hurt her wound, so off I went and sat in the shade. Called her over, she came running over with her treasure. What I hadn't noticed was the mostly intact ball behind me. Tara spotted it and honestly, I've never seen a dog so happy!! Broken ball was discarded and she spent 10 minutes trying to fully pop her new find. She didn't manage it but thoroughly enjoyed trying. When it was time to leave the paddock, she left the ball without being asked. Im hooked already - wonderful girl, wonderful nature.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tiny Tara today, She is a really dinky, pocket sized staffie and very, very friendly love4.gif
Tara has lots of energy for her age. She walks along very nicely, taking no notice of other dogs. She had several paddles in the stream today which she really enjoyed . Very cuddly and people orientated. Lovely girl!

Tara is a sweet natured, friendly and easy going girl that you cannot fail to love. Easy ro harness she walks perfectly we shared a walk with Val walking Millie the girls got on well barely taking any notice of each other. An easy impeccably behaved, happy and smiley dog. Steve

I walked Tara the little tank engine today for the first time and I agree with all the above. What a darling girl! She is just a delight to walk and met everyone with a waggy tail and cuddles. Dinky size but huge character. Snap her up quick! love4.gif

My turn to walk Tara yesterday. She really is a very easy dog to handle and, despite her age, she didn't waver in the heat and enjoyed a paddle in the stream. I'd been given the impression that she liked to lead play but she showed no interest in the leads at all. Lovely girl.

New walker was given Tara to walk today on her induction. Tara behaved so well and walked alongside Lolly with both girls getting on fantastically. We met another dog nose to nose on the bridle path today, no reaction from either dog. This dinky girl is a heartbreaker, love her so much.
