Libby's Story: Libby was handed in to a council pound with her twin brother in November 2018. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Libby is now neutered, is chipped and is fully vaccinated. Libby was in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Libby's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information:
26.11.2018: Hi Lynne, I have 2 youngsters Libby & Chris, handover. Litter mates boy and girl she is quite over powering to him so will split. Both fully vaccinated and I believe chipped. Owner had 4 kids and cats (but have been reactive when tested with unknown cats). They were terrified of the male owner and the boy dog bolted to get away from him. He has some marks and cuts, the two were in a tiny crate together both entire. Chris is scared at the moment so we haven't dog tested. I will email you their pics on a separate email so not to confuse.
Praying you can help, I have a sponsor to pay for spay/neuter of the two 11 mth old dogs. Cathy xxxx

What an absolutely gorgeous girl. I walked Libby this morning accompanied by 2 other dogs and their walkers. Libby took no notice of the other dogs although she was quite happy to walk alongside them. Libby's focus is on scents and her nose was down on the ground for the whole walk, sniffing, snuffling and investigating all the smells. She is a delightful, easy girl to walk and her wrinkled, inquisitive face in the photos is just adorable.

Libby is so calm and receptive greeting people and dog always with a little kiss. She has defo become my stooge dog and is tolerating anything other dogs throw at her without reaction. Such a wonderful girlie who is about to have her 1st birthday on the 13th.

Jodi and Mike came with Max their youngest son to meet the everso lovely Libby. They were as amazed as we have been with her nature, dog skills and lovely sense of being in such a young girl
