Sadly Whispher died after a short acute illness and has left John and Iris heartbroken

Whispher's thread below:

Current Status: Homed
Whispher (Felicity)'s Story: Whispher was found tied up and was handed into a vet surgery. She was unchipped and unclaimed within a North London council pound. When she came to us, Whispher was heavily pregnant. Our vet checked her over and told us that she could give birth any day. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Whispher is neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Whispher was in boarding kennels, and was then taken into Foster in Kingston, so the Fosterers could assist her with her birth. Whispher gave birth to 13 puppies on 11 November 2018, eight of which survived. The pups became available for adoption on Boxing Day 2018. Whispher is now ready for her new home too!

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance, and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Whispher's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information:
Adam from Broxbourne asked us to take Felicity on, help her bear her puppies, and find her and her puppies homes.

Felicity settled into kennel life in a fashion...basically she courted visitors as she rested on her large duvet. She wasnt interested in dog food so put in an order to the kitchen for mince and rice and enjoyed the regular deliveries.

Speaking of deliveries...Saturday morning she was looking giant-normous so having received a very welcome email late the night before from Peter offering his midhusbandry services we called him to say come now and transport Felicity or come this afternoon and you may be transporting ?9! Pat and Peter promptly jumped into their van and Felicity smiled as she was lifted with vastly swollen girth ... for she was soon to give birth

Peter and I spoke regularly today Sunday and at 6pm he said he was relieved she looked more relaxed, she had swollen and definately the puppies would arrive tonight. 7.14 and Peter called to say the first has arrived and it is a little fawn boy...

Have a few thoughts for Peter and Pat this could be a long evening...

Its been a long night for Felicity who has been calm and caring...and produced 13 pups. She hasnt appeared to be in pain a perfect mum. Peter and Pat have been attentive and very professional in their attendance and care of each puppy.
