Tanya and I walked the girls today and we noticed that they are getting fitter and have lost weight. It was quite a warm day and they loved going in the river. They are always so thrilled to get out for a walk. Penny in particular was very settled and easy to walk, Judy is a bit stronger still and even though she puffs away, tries to pull most of the time but is happier when out front. Both are friendly girls and not really interested in other dogs and don’t seem to be reactive. Penny is much less anxious now when she has her harness put on.

Penny and Judy are such a pair of sweeties. They love getting out and about to explore! They are a dream in the car (some of the best dogs we’ve ever transported) and they both love fuss. They are such a double act! These two do pull to start with but we think this is only because they aren’t used to walking - with a little training they’d be fine. Note we managed to carry a coffee and walk them today - so they are manageable. They will happily trot past other dogs or stop to say a friendly hello :goodjob.gif: . We loved our day trip with these two today - until next time love4.gif .

Lovely Judy who's struggling in kennels as she misses human company and home comforts.
So I've been trying new things with Judy as she's so receptive with training and she loves it when you sing to her !!
Yep my voice is out of tune and pitchless but I'm choosing calming songs that help judy distract from the noise and busy environment of kennels , if she's stressed I sing louder ! Maybe it's just another broken noise that amuses her but she sits calmly by my side as I sing along and tickle her back , she'll happily go for a run around one call of her name and she's back by my side.
Judy knows sit and stay we are working on wait and calm those beautiful Brown eyes look directly at you for more treats or love and who could resist!
She's a special girl with time , patients and love will thrive in a family home .

Lovely Judy out on a sunny Sunday.
Judy and Penny are lovely girls, such nice natures, it is lovely to see them walking along together, touching noses and shoulder bumping as they trundle along. Judy does pant quite heavily, mostly from excitement and stress of coming out of the kennels, but as long as you give her some rest stops and some water she is fine and can actually walk quite a way.

Please take a moment and scroll back to Judy's
First page what an amazing transformation !!
From a severely overweight dog who arrived, Who was exhausted after a short walk, To the slim, fit dog that can run circuits around me !

Judy is loving life, and especially loves to run around our secure paddock with frequent stops in the paddling pool. She still finds kennel life quite stressful and leaves the kennels on a mission! But once she's out she's been thoroughly enjoying solo walks of varying lengths with different walkers and paddock play times .

Judy loves affection and clearly misses regular human contact she will happily sit by your side for back rubs with a few sneaky kisses thrown in .
A lovely girl who needs the calm and stability of a forever home.

I had a lovely walk with Judy today. Jo helped me get her out without her daughter Penny and she was initially a bit worried but after 10 minutes had totally calmed down and enjoyed her walk. She didn’t pull and was much more engaged than she used to be, and much slimmer. We had a nice little sit down and rest on the way home and she was very affectionate.
