Tizzy's Story : Family homed when she was 2, to live with a springer spaniel. Recenlty the springer wasn't well and both were left in a crate together and family believed they had had a fight but actually vets then found the springer to have organ failure and was put to sleep. Family insisted they didn't want a dog anymore and went ahead with the rehoming: Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Tizzy is now neutered; chipped and fully vaccinated. Tizzy was foster with other dogs whilst awaiting her new family

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces, and manage and support encounters so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Tizzy's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. Emergency call family wanted rid of Tizzy as thought she had had a fight with their other dog whilst they were left in a crate; though no blood. (Family later found the other dog to be seriously ill and had to put to sleep but still went ahead with rehoming.)

Amy alerted us and transported her to us into safety

What a gorgeous, happy, kind, gentle soul Tizzy is. Bless her, she befriended me straight away and was keen to get out on her walk. She walks nicely on the lead and shows friendly interest in other dogs. A real sweetie.

News on the block this afternoon was that Tizzy is a digger... really ?digging to get out of the paddock... no digging to bury a bone. :goodjob.gif:

News this evening Tizzy is a climber

(Since returned)

Tizzy has hda great fun in foster mixing with 8 other dogs. Today she returned to a meet and greet with Sarah and Paul. They watched as Dianna negoticated with her to remove her spay and back stitches. it was a fun play session but they could obsereve her coy politics as she avoided our intensions. All stitches removed Tizzy went for a lovely walk with Buster and she showed her dog skills.

Sarah captured the moment on camera... Tizzy is now a resident of Reading.

Gavin & Keryn and their lovely daughter Poppy opened their arms to Tizzy today and opened their home and family too.

Our gratitude to Diana who had fostered Tizzy and made her stay in Rescue such fun.
