Lovely walk with Reggie today, he is such a gorgeous boy. He was gentle to harness, delighted to be going out, even in the heat, and he enjoyed his water time. He didn’t react at all to any of the dogs we met, he was perfect really. love4.gif

Reggie greeted me in a very loving but gentle way and left the kennel showing no reaction to the barking from fellow kennel mates.
He was easy to walk, didn’t pull at all, and wasn’t bothered about passing other dogs or walking through the cattle that had spread across our path. He was very endearing and occasionally tuned round for some attention – rather sad that he doesn’t get more being the centre of attention within a loving family.

And I'm a sucker for those looks!!

Lovely walk and paddle with the stunning Reggie today. He does love the water but also loves to sit and watch the world go by. He ignored another dog swimming in the river and some ducklings and when given a treat, gave me his paw and was just so gentle. He is a great looking dog as well.

Another lovely but hot outing with Reggie. He was very good when we met a terrier and spaniel, both on leads, interested but happy to let them pass quietly. He loves the water and tries to get as much of his body submerged as is possible. And of course, he is extremely photogenic and the sort of dog that strangers comment on how lovely he is. love4.gif

I walked Reggie today and he was just a SUPERSTAR!!

Firstly, my dad came along to walk with me as I wanted him to meet Toffee and Reggie. When Reggie came out of the kennels his tail was wagging and he took treats gently from my dad. (This is such a HUGE improvement from when I first met Reggie just a couple of months ago when he was quite nervous and took a little while to trust people).

We then walked towards the loch and he was beautiful on the lead, checking up on me and my dad. A woman with her young son were sitting by the loch watching the boats and she called up to me saying what a gorgeous dog Reggie was and that she would love to have him! So I went over with him and told her all about Rescue Remedies and where she could find out more information. She gave him a pat and her young son (2-3yrs old) also went to pat him. Reggie leaned in and let the boy stroke his face and neck. I could see he was comfortable so gave the boy a treat to give to Reggie and he was so happy. Reggie took the treats super gently. The woman also had a friend holding a French Bulldog called Loki. So the two doggos touched noses and there were wagging tails all around.

I have never been so proud of a dog before! He was amazing with the woman petting him, taking treats from her son and then saying hello to Loki. He was fantastic, I was beaming!

Reggie is going to make a family very happy. He is lovely on the lead, is handsome and has THE BEST curly tail ever.

Wow! That’s amazing to hear! So glad he’s got out of his nervousness with strangers and showing everyone how great he is. Well done Reg thumbs.gif

Lovely walk with Reggie today and we also did some canicross. He was very good at it and ran in a lovely straight line. I noticed how well mannered he is, he walks to heel so nicely and slows down when you are going down steps. He also is so gentle when accepting treats. After a paddle in the river, we went round the park where he showed off his yoga moves. We met several on and off lead dogs and a puppy and he wasn’t really that interested at all and behaved perfectly.

Reggie and I did a bit of walking and a bit of running yesterday. He was very good. He runs in a nice straight line and loves to be able to stretch his legs a little. We saw several dogs with no problems, no reaction at all. He walked to heel very nicely on the narrower path and always slows down when we go down the steps. He carefully chose a not too deep bit of the river to get into, he always has a good look to see if he can see the bottom or not, no flies on our Reggie. love4.gif

Have not walked Reggie for a few weeks now and I was so pleasantly surprised by how super happy and confident he has become. When I first walked him he was quite new to Guildford and he seemed very unsure and shy but he has really settled in now and today it was like meeting a new dog, he was super happy, bouncy and so glad to have a visitor and go for a walk. He walked very nicely with kennel mate Luke and even had some skips and jumps along the way, it was so lovely to see him happy and enjoying himself.
