It was such a joy to see how excited Felix was to see me this afternoon and to see how he has grown so much in his confidence. When we first got outside the kennel block he really was bouncing around with joy. He is a lot more alert taking more interest in what is going on around him. We had a cyclist pass us on a narrow footpath without warning which did make Felix a little worried for a second but hardly surprising as neither of us heard it coming. He is such a kind loving sole and really does deserve his forever home. Heart fill with love.gif]

I had my Felix fix again this afternoon, we had a lovely walk trying to keep in the shade as much as we could as it was so hot. We passed another walker with several dogs, Felix was very interested, it seemed as though he would loved to have said hello but we kept our distance as there were 4 of them and would have been overwhelming. We had a horse ride past, Felix wasn't at all worried. He had fun going through the woods watching the squirrels chasing up the trees. Felix is such a delight. love4.gif

Another wonderful greeting this afternoon from Felix. It was very hot so I decided to walk Felix to the stream so he could cool off and also to see what he thought of the water. When we arrived he had no hesitation in wading into the water, I think he enjoyed cooling down but was quite happy to continue with his walk. I really do hope this lovely gentle boy finds his forever home very soon he really does deserve it. Heart fill with love.gif]

Felix again gave me a wonderful greeting, so excited to be taken out. It was very hot this afternoon so we walked through the woods and shaded areas. Felix is very alert and always on the look out for a little furry to chase, despite his enthusiasm he is still very manageable. Such a gorgeous boy. Kiss of love.gif

Felix is a cautious dog but once out and walking he comes into his own. Loves a good old sniff around and a run through long grass. He is an attentive dog and will make a great friend for the right person(s).

Felix wasn’t too sure about taking a dip in the river yesterday... until he saw the ducks thumbs.gif

I took Felix to the paddock today so that he could stretch his long legs.
I had not met him before but after almost an hour together the words that sprung to mind to describe him - serene, gentle, very loving and very affectionate.

He was such lovely company and although he occasionally had a run around, more often than not he chose to be by my side and we pottered together.

I thought he might like to chase a ball but my raised hand made Felix seriously cower so I never did it again.

Despite obviously having had some harsh treatment in the past, Felix realises that there are some good humans about and if you are lucky enough to spend time with him, boy does he show you love and affection.

At one point, I was sat on a chair and he was sat next to me and I held his head and kissed it. He then wouldn’t move until I did it again and again and again....... love4.gif
