Sadly Marlee came back this week: Really difficult decision but the brothers started to fight and it became difficult to bring back in contact with one another as they we clearly uncomfortable. Marlee will do well as an only dog and find himself as he is such a people person!

Sometimes dogs that have been rehomed get returned to rescue. It doesn’t happen that often, it happens for a variety of reasons, and it always makes everyone sad. Marlee one of our gorgeous ‘bulldozer brothers’ has come back to us. His adoptive family must be absolutely heartbroken. Biggy and Marlee had never really had anything in their lives before and so when they went to a wonderful home they became jealous of each other, and it seemed the only way to keep them both happy was to separate them. So Marlee has come back to us and is without his brother for the first time in his life and we are looking for another very special home for this super boy. Marlee has been returned in superb condition and Marlee has come back with MANNERS!!! Waiting politely to be harnessed ( no wrestling match, Geoff was quite disappointed!) no pulling on the lead, at all! Geoff walked marvellous Marlee whilst I walked the lovely Penny and they were very happy to walk together, and if we lagged too far behind for a special sniff Marlee wanted to wait for us. Geoff took him to the poets hut afterwards for a special cuddle because we have missed this boy, and of course we didn’t want to see him back in Rescue, but he is so lovable and he was happy to see us too. In a few short weeks Marlee has learned to behave beautifully and we think it would be magic if his very own humans found him very quickly, so they can be impressed too, and keep up the good work. Marvellous Marlee with Manners xxxxxx

Walked Marlee today and I can confirm - fantastic manners! How far he has come in a good home. Only time he pulled was to catch up with the other dogs we walked alongside. Sweet, friendly happy boy who was happy as pie being around his walking buddies love4.gif
Will upload photos soon!

Marlee wasn’t on our list to walk this week, but he is just such a darling boy that even though Geoff was exhausted from walking the pups we’d been given and fighting a horrid cold he had to take this beautiful boy to the paddock for a play and a cuddle. Marvellous Marlee, how we hope he finds his very own home soon.

I walked Marlee in Monday. It was the first time I walked Marlee since his failed rehoming. Boy was it different, before Marlee was very strong on the lead perhaps to race his brother Biggy but on his own he’s a dream. No pulling and very easy walk. Marlee has always been a cuddle monster with a massive smile.
I really hope we find him a home soon.

Geoff walked marvellous Marlee yesterday whilst I walked Lola, and they were very happy in each other’s company. Marlee is such a gorgeous boy, he does like to walk in front if he is with canine buddies and they can’t walk side by side, but then he walked to Geoff's heel on a loose lead, amazing! Marlee is funny, friendly, responsive and an all round gorgeous boy, and he has proved how quickly he learns and how responsive he is to training. Come in Marlee’s special people, step right up and claim him. Guaranteed to make you smile xxxx

So Geoff walked the beautiful boy yesterday whilst I walked little William. Marlee is so good walking with other dogs and he welcomed little William and they walked happily side by side. In fact I think it is fair to say that without Marlee's encouraging presence William would have hot footed it back to the kennels as soon as he could! Marlee went to the paddock with Geoff afterwards for a play and found his hearts delight, a large football!! We just love this boy and so want to see him happy and settled in his very own home.

Geoff walked dear Marlee on Wednesday whilst I walked lovely Lola. Marlee is happy to have any dog walk with him but these two walk so nicely side by side. Marlee is such a lovely, happy boy. He walks so well on the lead now, no pulling, he sits beautifully, takes treats gently, loves to play with a football, ignores passing dogs, bikes, joggers, shows a gentlemanly interest in squirrels. He’s just a gorgeous boy and it would be lovely to see him settled in his own home as much as we would miss him. He is such a lovely character.
