Well after two weeks away we were delighted to be back and walking the ‘bulldozer brothers’ we had really missed these guys, almost as much as our own puppers! It was entertaining putting Marlee’s Harness on, we had obviously lost the knack on our hols, but bribing with a biscuit so he would sit still, worked wonders. These boys are gorgeous and we are very proud of them. We encountered an off lead terrier in the woods who rushed up to their faces barking madly. They looked down on him with great dignity and ignored him, whilst we told him to go back to his owner. When he came back a second time with the same attitude Geoff told the owner quite forcefully to control her dog, but our boys just ignored the irritant. Well done Biggy and Marlee. When we got back they both enjoyed a play in the paddock and a little sit in the sunshine.

Geoff and I really enjoy walking Marlee and his brother Biggy. It’s always a bit of a challenge to get their harnesses on smoothly, and we reckon we’ve got it down to a fine art, but they were very playful today and gravy bones were vital for distraction!! These boys are just so lovable, we really want them to find their forever home, even though we will miss them so much, they both have so much love to give. You’ll see from the photos Marlee on his back, ball in his mouth, enjoying a belly rub after his walk!

Marlee and Biggy were so happy to go for a walk yesterday, although it as a bit muddy underfoot the sun was shining and it was a lovely day. Other dogs were ignored, cyclists, joggers all ignored. Squirrels were however very interesting! And the workmen at the kennels obviously adore these boys and the admiration was mutual. These two are such characters. They are happy, boisterous, loving with not an ounce of malice between them. Whoever adopts them is going to have such happy times.

Geoff and I walked Biggy and Marlee yesterday. They are so excited when they see us because they know it means they are going for a walk. We love them. Their hearts are as big as their smiles. Yes they pull a bit on the lead, but they sit when you ask them to, take treats so gently, love to chase tennis balls and bring them back and love to have their bellies rubbed ( particularly Marlee) and heads scratched. They wait patiently at the front of their kennel for you to notice them. These boys are a firm favourite with the volunteers, they have spent too long in Rescue waiting for their special person to find them.

Geoff and I walked the beautiful ‘bulldozer brothers’ yesterday. Everybody loves these boys and the builders working at the rescue always make a big fuss of them when we set off on our walks. Marlee is a lead puller for sure, but he does stop when you ask him to, then forgets very quickly and starts forging forward again! He loved chewing a tennis ball in the paddock after his walk but best of all was when he said thank you to Geoff for his tummy rub by leaping on to the top of pyramid steps and licking Geoff's ear and then the top of his head. Sadly I was laughing so much I didn’t get the picture!!! Marlee, like his brother, is a very affectionate boy xxxx
