Marlee wasn’t on our list to walk this week, but he is just such a darling boy that even though Geoff was exhausted from walking the pups we’d been given and fighting a horrid cold he had to take this beautiful boy to the paddock for a play and a cuddle. Marvellous Marlee, how we hope he finds his very own home soon.

I walked Marlee in Monday. It was the first time I walked Marlee since his failed rehoming. Boy was it different, before Marlee was very strong on the lead perhaps to race his brother Biggy but on his own he’s a dream. No pulling and very easy walk. Marlee has always been a cuddle monster with a massive smile.
I really hope we find him a home soon.

Geoff walked marvellous Marlee yesterday whilst I walked Lola, and they were very happy in each other’s company. Marlee is such a gorgeous boy, he does like to walk in front if he is with canine buddies and they can’t walk side by side, but then he walked to Geoff's heel on a loose lead, amazing! Marlee is funny, friendly, responsive and an all round gorgeous boy, and he has proved how quickly he learns and how responsive he is to training. Come in Marlee’s special people, step right up and claim him. Guaranteed to make you smile xxxx

So Geoff walked the beautiful boy yesterday whilst I walked little William. Marlee is so good walking with other dogs and he welcomed little William and they walked happily side by side. In fact I think it is fair to say that without Marlee's encouraging presence William would have hot footed it back to the kennels as soon as he could! Marlee went to the paddock with Geoff afterwards for a play and found his hearts delight, a large football!! We just love this boy and so want to see him happy and settled in his very own home.

Geoff walked dear Marlee on Wednesday whilst I walked lovely Lola. Marlee is happy to have any dog walk with him but these two walk so nicely side by side. Marlee is such a lovely, happy boy. He walks so well on the lead now, no pulling, he sits beautifully, takes treats gently, loves to play with a football, ignores passing dogs, bikes, joggers, shows a gentlemanly interest in squirrels. He’s just a gorgeous boy and it would be lovely to see him settled in his own home as much as we would miss him. He is such a lovely character.

Marlee - what a gent he has become. When I see him walking with Terry he just plods along at a nice, steady pace. Always comes over for any available fuss - loves people and any treats they might be willing to give him. Marlee is one of the nicest natured dogs you could wish to meet - a lump of loveliness. Xx

Geoff walked marvellous Marlee on Wednesday whilst I walked lovely Lola. These two are a really nice pairing to take out together. both very easy going and amiable. Marlee really doesn't take any notice of any other dog around, he's happy for them to walk in his company but doesn't make a big deal of it, he is so even tempered and laid back. Geoff held a loose lead for most of the walk, Marlee was happy walking beautifully by his side, it was very warm and by the end Marlee seemed a bit puffed so we passed on the paddock and he had a lovely chicken chew back in his kennel which he took with his usual impeccable manners. This boy is such a cheerful, happy, lump, with a passion for footballs, it would just be wonderful for his forever human to find him soon and enjoy his sunny disposition.

Lovely Marlee love4.gif
I have walked him a fair bit recently and so made him a video :) Such a lovely, friendly lad and now complete with brilliant manners! He's come a long way since he arrived! Hopefully he won't be with us too much longer.

Geoff and I just cannot understand why marvellous Marlee has not been snapped up by the discerning dog lover looking to adopt. This boy is so lovely, funny, friendly, happy, and really well behaved. Geoff usually walks Marlee, they are buddies, but this week my dog was a bit strong for me so we swapped over. Marlee couldn’t understand this, we kept stopping whilst he made sure Geoff was just behind us with Chase. Marlee loves social walks with other dogs but he does like to be in front where he walks on a nice loose lead. Because he obviously missed not having Geoff on the other end of the lead he had a ten minute play in the paddock with his hero and a football. I think he may have loved the football more!!! Marlee is a huge favourite with all the staff and volunteers at the kennels. His father and brother have both been happily rehomed. We do hope Marlee’s turn comes soon, we will miss him but he has so much to give and he is going to make the people lucky enough to get him very happy.
