I feel honoured and privileged that Glynis now greets me as a friend and is always so pleased to see me. She is a gentle, calm, lovely lady who enjoys stepping out on a reasonably fast walk. She is so easy to walk as she never pulls and hardly reacts to other dogs we pass. She is totally lovely but she deserves her own home comforts and the love and companionship of her own special family - I hope that comes along soon.

Little Glynis has to be one of the quietest and easiest dogs I've ever walked. I actually got the shock of my life when she broke her silence to deliver an impressive grumbling growl to a placid passing dog (and, later, a cat!). Looks like Glynis has decided that after all she's been through she would now like to keep the humans just for herself, thank you very much! And who can blame her?

I asked kennel manager Adam what Glynis reminded me of as I couldn't put my finger on it... he said a muntjac!! He's not wrong. She is so like a funny little deer with her dainty steps and fawn fur.

You can see how slack her lead is in this video - easy peasy to walk!

She was sooooo gentle taking treats too...

This is a girl that deserves a chance at happiness after a terrible start. Please fill in a homing questionnaire if you can offer her the life she deserves :crossfingers.gif:

The lovely Glynis during our walk last weekend. She is easy to walk and loves a good sniff in the hedgerows.
She wasn't keen on the treats I had with me - I've bought some cocktail sausages for my next visit!

Glynis and I had a lovely walk yesterday (and she had plenty of sausages!) before she headed back to Gatwick. I'll miss her at Broxbourne - she is so gentle and easy to walk.

Welcome back Glynis. We had a lovely walk today - she was her usual calm, lovely self but got very excited at the sight of a couple of squirrels chasing each other in the trees above her at one point. She is being very patient - let's hope her patience is rewarded and she gets her forever home soon - before Christmas would be great. :smiley-bounce016.gi: :smiley-bounce016.gi:

I took Glynis out for the first time today, she was a bit apprehensive when I entered her kennel but after a few treats & a bit of gentle tlc she soon realised we were off for a walk. Glynis really is such a gentle soul & just needs a bit of reassurance until she gets to know people. She would really blossom in a forever home. I do hope that happens so very soon. When I entered Glynis's kennel she seemed very reluctant to get up out of her bed but with a bit of persuasion with some sausages she eventually got up and realised we were going for a walk. Although Glynis walked out of the kennel block quite keenly when we got outside she was a bit unsure as to whether she wanted to go after all as it was a damp afternoon. In the end she decided that it was a good idea to be outside and so we had a lovely walk in the end. Glynis is such a kind gentle girl and is a delight to be with. love4.gif

GORGEOUS Glynis. I think my face lit up when I found out I was walking Glynis today. This beautiful girl really does need to find herself a forever home. She has been through so much. I was excited to see Glynis as I hadn't seen her for a while. She was happy to see me, even more so when I produced her favourite cocktail sausages from my pocket. She is so easy to lead up and was excited to get on her way. She was ready for a nice long stroll. We had a lovely walk which started off casually and then she found her confidence and started to speed up, taking the lead and stopping for the occasional sniff. Glynis is a delight to walk, no bother, a tough little cookie is Glynis. She so deserves her retirement home now and I pray she finds it soon. Love her xx ball2.gif

Well I had a lovely Boxing Day stroll with Glynis today. She was my last walk of the day and we had a wonderful walk on the pathway up by the side of the river and then onto the pavements of Smallfield (as I didn't want to get her claws too muddy!). She happily pottered along, but was pretty impatient when I couldn't get the gate open to let us onto the pavement. Needless to say, she went through the gap beside the gate and I had to squeeze through the gap! She is so easy on the lead, and will walk and walk and walk. She ignored all passing vehicles and the one dog we did pass, she did bark at. But that's just our Glynis letting you know she is there! When I put her back into her penthouse, she was munching on the chopped up cocktail sausages that I had saved for her! Glynis is a joy to walk, happy to get out and about. A very special girl x

Ah, glad Glynis got to see her fave person ! They don't forget those who spend time with them our furries ! Gylnis would have loved being out and about, and yes, it's cold so muddy paws are not good, that is the best walk for avoiding the deep mud this time of year...thank you for thinking of that Kate....and lifting our special girls spirits.....

Please people, do consider Glynis..... love25.gif and giving her the best present of all....a warm home.....because she has been waiting all her life and has experienced so much hardship, smiley-sad010.gif she so deserves a chance of love ................ angel13.gif]

I took Glynis out for a lovely walk yesterday. It was the first time I have walked this gorgeous girl for some weeks and I was very surprised to see that her confidence has risen immensely. I think probably due to the fact she isn't in the main noisy kennel block but in a quieter place which obviously must suit her better. She was pleased to be going out and was anxious to lead the way out just in case I changed my mind!!!! We took the pavement route yesterday as everywhere is so wet and muddy, Glynis didn't mind one bit where we walked she enjoyed being out and about stopping for the occasional sniff. As previously mentioned this gentle soul has been through so much but she has come through it all admirably. Love this girl. Heart fill with love.gif]
