Digby's Story : Found stray/abandoned & unclaimed within a council pound: Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Digby is now neutered; chipped and vaccinations in progress. Digby was in boarding kennels near Broxbourne

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters for at least 4 months until sure of their dogs instincts & skills, most of our dogs will need to be retained always on a lead, so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Digby's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Who remembers Digby the biggest dog in the world? Well weve just met Digby the dog who thinks hes the biggest in the world. What a chap.Hes a little vocal initially but once you get going hes a sweetheart and will soon shut up for a treat.Hes very food orientated .We walked with Sally and Mark and their beautiful girl Bella and Graham who is an actual big dog.Diggers as I call him walks really well with other dogs and I would think that he would make someone a super pet and would be very easy to train as he enjoys his treats. Will say a little prayer tonight that he finds his people very soon because someone is missing out big time on this little fella.

Have to echo the above... Digby is a little bag of bones wrapped in collie fur and a big gob. He is so tiny that you can hardly feel him on the lead, and he has an infectious enthusiasm about him that makes him an unexpected treat to walk.

Poor Digby is so tiny that my partner didn't even realise he'd partially lifted him up by the harness here - he thought his front feet were still on the floor!!

Digby was so happy to be heading out on our walk on Saturday that he felt the need to shout his head off about it. Then he saw that Snoop was joining him and cheerfully shouted his head off about that too. Then he saw the bag of sausages and... well, you get the picture. Digby likes to communicate.

Scruffy little cutie... please come and adopt (and bath!) him

Despite the fact that Snoop decided to be a bit of a grump with him, Digby showed excellent dog skills on our walk and took the bad vibes coming his way in his stride! He gave Snoop space but wasn't afraid of him.

14881296807432.jpg
DIGBY: "I'm loving walking with my pal Snoop! What a great day!"
SNOOP: "Please do not talk to me, I do not like you."

He can be a little sharp taking treats (it's really barely worth mentioning, you just slightly feel his teeth now and then) but only in enthusiasm, not malice. He's a confident little man when it comes to affection and a happy soul to be with people.

What a personality :-)

Can't emphasise enough how absolutely tiny Digby is, or how much fun. I doubt he'll be waiting for long and can't wait to see him homed.

we walked this lovely boy again today. he walked lovely with Trevor and enjoyed the treats we gave him. he is very food orientated so should be very easy to train and would make a great companion for someone. he is very easy to walk, other dogs don't seem to bother him. he loves cuddles and treats.

Helen, Rod & one of their sons Sam bought the very precious Tommy. Now Tommy is totally blind (has no eyes anymore) and 14 years old but oh so full of life and it was such a pleasure to meet him. Digby gelled with Tommy immediately and they will become close friends.
