Oh Heathcliffe, you are a gorgeous big softie Kiss of love.gif

I was lucky enough to meet Heathcliffe for his photoshhot on Monday, he is such a happy boy and loves a proper cuddle (stood on his back legs, front legs almost round your neck !!!). Very gentle, to watch him engage with the little shihtzu in the adjacent pen was just so lovely :D

Anyway, wait no longer here's some photos of this most loveable boy :smiley-love014.gif:

Heathcliff was on a charm offensive this morning, anyone and everyone was included. He met on and off lead dogs beautifully and for a while we walked side by side with a chap and his ageing Staffy cross. Heathcliff was petted and admired by all, he was especially taken with a young girl and her mum waiting at the bus stop. He threw himself to the floor in front of them for tummy tickles and it took quite a few treats to get him moving again! This boy is simply gorgeous, he's waiting for you, go on, you know you want him! :smiley-love014.gif:

My first time with Heathcliff today, he was really friendly and happy to see me and everybody else we passed on our walk. He was keen to enjoy all the smells on the route we took but he didn't pull on the lead and was happy to move on even when he was snuffling away happily. He was very good with other dogs of all sizes, throwing himself to the ground and not showing any aggression at all. A large dog on a lead came wandering over to say hello and it was completely drama-free with just lots of sniffing and happy waggy tails. Heathcliff's a very affectionate boy who loves stroking and cuddling, he loves people to come up to him and give him a bit of attention.

Somehow he looks like quite a small dog here!

Heathcliff and I had a couple of lovely walks last week, he's a really happy boy and a big softy, he loves giving cuddles bighug.gif He likes to explore as everything seems new to him and every now and again he'll just plonk himself down for a rest, at which point he likes strokes :D He was friendly with all other dogs we saw too (see below pics of him calmly saying hello to one of the other dog's in the kennels)

Heathcliff spent the day with me yesterday as my front passenger in the dog mobile. Now full vaccinated. Cant fault him Heathcliff is a stunner gentle to his core. We met a man who fell in love with him and would have homed him on the spot but for his working hours...Heathcliff knew and matched the bond and refused to get back in the dog mobile which I sheilded the man from by walking Heathcliff around to another door and lifting him in.

Lovely stroll on countryside.

On Saturday Sarah (head veterinary nurse) walked Heathcliff:

Heathcliff was very well behaved on his walk today. He enjoyed having a run in the park and waited patiently while other dogs walked nearby. He is a very affectionate boy and does enjoy a treat or two. :smiley-chores002.gif:

First walk of the day for me, my absolute favourite, Heathcliff. Such an easy boy to walk and he gave Lynne and myself the best welcome! Paws up to accept cuddles and ear rubs, he can reach Lynne's shoulders but he's such a gentle boy you just don't mind. He met all the dogs on our showery walk so well and he knows now that if he throws himself to the floor he gets tummy rubs then treats to get him moving again. Always so tempting to just sneak him into the back of the car! :smiley-chores002.gif:

I love walking the big softie, aka Heathcliff, he’s such a gentleman. He explored in the long grass, spent some time staring thoughtfully across fields (whatever he was seeing was apparently very interesting) and lay down when we saw other dogs approaching just to show how friendly he is. Luckily Heathcliff was also there to protect me from the slightly inflated plastic bag on the ground which he approached somewhat gingerly and carefully checked that it was harmless. When we reached the stream, after paddling around for a minute he decided the best way to cool off was to lie down in the biggest patch of mud he could find, turning his white tummy chocolately. He then saw somebody he recognised on the bridge watching him and ran over, tail wagging furiously, stretched to his full height and put his paws onto the bridge to say hello.

Hello!

Gill & Heathcliff

Heathcliff met a wonderful family today straight after having a great walk with Terry. Mark took the reigns and we had a trip to the park and everyone passingby just couldnt help but comment what a great dog he was...his family felt the same. Trial adoption only as Heathcliff is not proven with very young children so the family are feeling him out and will share any concerns they have over the mixing of Heathcliff with the boys.

Heathcliff came back today after 24 hours of relaxing in a family home. Gill & Mark felt the children weren't ready i.e. conscious around a dog yet even though they really want to help and have a Rescue dog. They will be in touch in the future no doubt.
