I met Vinnie for the first time yesterday afternoon, he was just so friendly and welcoming when I entered his kennel. As soon as he knew we were going out for a walk he desperately was trying to find a ball or balls to carry but unfortunately he didn't have any. Luckily he did find one in the drive which he soon picked up and carried with him for the rest of his walk. I tried to find the least muddiest of walks but when we headed for the top of the drive on our return Vinnie in no uncertain terms told me he wasn't ready to return and so we walked for a bit longer which was no problem. Vinnie is certainly a lovely friendly boy and I am surprised he still remains in kennels. Someone is definitely missing out not having Vinnie in their life. love4.gif

Vinnie and I had another lovely walk this afternoon. He soon found a ball lying around outside which he picked up and carried with him. We met several dog walkers whilst out, Vinnie didn't react we just stood aside to let them go by. We also met a lady walking on her own who stopped to chat, she was very taken with this lovely hunky boy making a fuss of him which he thoroughly enjoyed. Heart fill with love.gif]

Dear Vinnie just brightens my day - even on a rainy, cold day like today, Vinnie never fails to make me smile. Nothing at all dampens Vinnies spirits, he is always in a good mood - and that sunny disposition is contagious. He puts up with my constant cuddling - even though I know he’d much rather get on with his walk. Vinnie is an easy boy, he has no issue at all passing other dogs if you let him hold his tennis ball, he walks well, stubborn sometimes but I think that just adds to his charm, he’s cheeky - he’ll try and get an extra 5 minutes walk by putting the brakes on and giving his very best sad face. No idea what so ever why Vinnie has waited so long for his forever home - he’s one of the loveliest dogs I’ve ever known. Xx

I love spending time with Vinnie. He really is the most happy chap. He loves his walks and trots along like a new born lamb! You would never guess his age if you met him as he is so full of energy on his walks and moves like a younger dog. He does have a few white whiskers, which make him look very distinguished. He loves to carry things in his chops as he walks so was delighted when he found the perfect stick to carry on our walk.

Vinnie is a great companion, he lifts my mood every time I get to walk him. He is a little chunky package of love and joy! love4.gif love4.gif

I spent some time in the paddock today with Vinnie. He is such a teddy bear of a dog with a tremendous sense of fun and play. He showed me how great he is at agility as he thundered up and down the steps 0002.gif] 0002.gif] I was actually quite impressed with his turn of speed!
This lovely boy is well overdue for his home, I think it's so sad how he's wasted in kennels. Smashing dog.

If anything dampens Vinnies spirits, I’ve yet to find it. He is the happiest boy and never fails to make me smile. We didn’t go to the paddock today, we went for a walk around the town instead. He loved being nosey - we had a good look around all the little closes set back from the road. On the way back to the kennels, two cars stopped, an adult and a child getting out of each. The man asked me if this was Vinnie as they’d seen him on this forum!! They’d come to meet another one of our lovely dogs but couldn’t resist stopping enroute to say hello to Vinnie. Vinnie was delighted to get all of this extra fuss, he loved having a mini fan club. One of the children asked if they could have Vinnie. When they drove off, we went and sat at the bus stop for cuddles. I told Vinnie it’s got to be his time soon, extra special, lovely boys like him sometimes have to wait a little longer for the just the right home - one who’ll adore him as much as everyone who knows him does.xx.
