Here is Tanni in her new home in Watford with her new pal Rosko, a 10 year old Standard Poodle. Tanni appears to be settling in quite well, including running around the garden with Rosko. Both dogs are getting to know each. Tanni, like Rosko likes a lot of fuss and she does not seem fazed by her new surroundings. She has been having walks round a nearby lake with Rosko. Hello Lynne
Thank you so much for your email. It was lovely to see the pictures of Tanni, many of which we had never seen.
I’m attaching some photos we have taken more recently. Unfortunately we lost Rosko 18 months ago - he was only 11 and he and Tanni got on really well. However in July 2020 after some researching, we found Crystal, a blue standard poodle who had also been used for breeding but not to the extent poor Tanni had. Crystal came from One Paw at a Time Rescue. I’m pleased to say they are really good mates and are rarely apart. They play so well together but sadly neither will play with toys. We have a toy box but it’s only raided when my daughter comes with her two Scotties! Tanni and Crystal just watch them with disdain. However the 4 of them often have a game of chase round the garden.
We got back from a holiday in Wales last week and the girls were little models the whole time. They were welcomed in all the restaurants we went in and lay down quietly while we ate. Once they realised there were dogs there several people came over to speak to them and they both revelled in all the fuss they were getting!

We think Tanni is possibly about 2 years older than we originally thought as she is definitely a bit slower and is very stiff when she gets up from resting. We’ve put her on Yumove Plus which I think is helping. However, she is very fit and well otherwise and loves pottering round the garden.
We really are so lucky with our dogs. They are just the perfect pets.
Thank you so much for letting us have Tanni.
Best wishes

Jill and I (Charles) are both heartbroken. We had to say goodbye to our fabulous Standard poodle Tanni, last night. She was the loveliest of dogs with the sweetest nature. She loved other dogs and people, which is amazing given the bad start she had in life. She was used as a breeding bitch and then dumped on the streets of of Derby. Luckily she was found and ended up with a good life with Susan Hills. We took her on four years ago and with Crystal enjoyed herself. We had just come back from an holiday in Wales - and despite problems with her heart and liver - she had a good time. But when we returned she went downhill quite fast. So long sweetheart you brought us so much joy. She spent some time with Rescue Remedies

Jill and Charles, and Crystal... we are all so very sad you have lost dear Tanni. It was a great joy to us all to pass her into your loving hands. She needed to engage with life again and you offered her wonderful times and wonderful holidays.

You made her life! Forever in your debt...
