I haven't walked Frankie for a couple of weeks, and so got a nice welcome from him this morning. He's looking a bit chubby, piggy boy 0002.gif]
We walked with Stuart and Monty as Stuart wants to get to know Frankie, and after Frankie had managed to get nearly all Stuart's treats off him, I think they may become friends 0002.gif]

Frankie and I had a lovely walk and a play in the paddock today. He was in excellent spirits. He then excelled himself in the 'crazy Frankie' stakes when he waded into a huge muddy puddle, in the car park, sat down and proceeded to spin himself around and then roll over, getting as muddy as he possibly could. I think he was also enjoying the fact that he had an audience who found it all very amusing. Having got himself thoroughly wet and muddy, now looking little a little hippo, he grinned at his audience and looking very proud of himself, strutted back to his kennel. woo.gif] Go Frankie!

Frankie and I had another enjoyable session in the paddock this afternoon. When Frankie gets a bit tired he likes to take his ball and find somewhere to lie down and cool off.
Ummmmm well, this was where he chose to do that...…

Oh Frankie, you dirty devil! We also went to the paddock today, where Frankie insisted on chomping on the muddiest tennis ball, it looked horrible but Frankie seemed to like it. I took a brush in with me today, and boy does Frankie enjoy a good coat stripping! I managed to get about three carrier bags full of that fluffy undercoat out, very Akita like coat. I think he feels a bit better now, it's probably why he rolls so much. I know Frankie can be selective about who he trusts, so I'm lucky to have him as my friend, he does give me great cuddles and looks up at me with such a loving look, I feel really sad this lovely boy has still not had a chance of a home. No dog should spend all their life in kennels, there must be someone for him out there.

Frankie was so pleased to see me today, he wrapped his front legs round me and snuggled his head in for cuddles. Nothing gets this boy down, he like Mr Happy and I admire his spirit but it's sad as he thinks living in kennels is normal. We had a great walk, he was super affectionate today then I let him have a run and a play in the paddock where he had great fun with a football. He had a good show off through the fence to Tilly by getting his football under the picnic table and then rolling on his back under there and making a big show of getting stuck 0002.gif] Tilly must have been impressed as she seemed to like saying hello to Frankie through the fence and her tail didn't stop wagging. Frankie loves other dogs and especially likes to show off to the girls!

Frankie decided that it was warm enough for a paddle yesterday and knowing how much he enjoys the water we made a visit to the stream. Happy Frankie!

Frankie reunited with his old buddy Buster yesterday :D
Frankie was delighted to reacquaint with Buster, Frankie recognised Buster immediately and Monty (Frankie’s bestie and kennel mate) soon settled for a lovely walk all together - the 3 amigo’s :D

Lovely time had by all xxx

I had my Frankie fix today, nothing like time spent with this happy go lucky boy. After our walk, I sat in the bench out side the kennel block and Frankie just plonked his front half in my lap and we cuddled for ages. I feel so bad this lovely dog has never known home comforts, he would be such a lap dog. His trust and loyalty needs to be earnt but then he's yours and the look in his eyes as he gazes up at you is pure adoration (before he raids your pockets for treats!) love4.gif

Frankie just wanted to be lying in the grass yesterday. We headed for the paddock and once Frankie had found himself a tennis ball he was a very happy boy indeed. He treasures having a ball and having had a game of fetch he likes to lie in the grass and roll around and play with his ball. He is not at all possessive about his ball, just so pleased to have one. We then went for a walk around the kennel grounds and every time we reached some long grass, Frankie plonked himself down to enjoy playing with his ball and having a good roll. The sun was shining and I could have sat there all day with him, it was so lovely to see his joy and happiness.
