Frankie was the best, best boy today (again). I love him to bits, he is such an obedient dog. Always greeted with a lovely cuddle, always walks in a slack lead, so well behaved and connected with me. Met horses again today, he doesn't bat an eyelid and and is focused on me (well, sausages are involved) 0002.gif]
We had rather a long walk, as Frankie has perfected the art of walking slowly and sniffing EVERYTHING! I don't mind, because I always chill walking Frankie so happy to spend this time with him. On returning to kennels, lots of ladies he knows were standing around, so Frankie made the most of it, using his charm to get fusses from them all. If you don't know this boy, please make the time to make friends, because he is the best friend to have, honestly. He is a very loyal dog and doesn't forget those he loves.

Frankie was on full form yesterday and certainly brightened up my Monday morning with his crazy antics. While he was having a roll in the grass I knelt down and gave him tummy rubs. I found his tickle spot! 0002.gif]

Frankie has an obsession with acorns at the moment, ever since one nearly landed on his head and bounced in the road in front of his nose. He picks them up and very gently plays with them and then chews them. (don't worry, he does not eat them I have been watching him carefully) On Monday he stopped on his walk to play and then lay down. Here he is playing so gently with an acorn, it shows his soft, gentle side. love4.gif

Me and Frankie boy had to put our waders on this morning, the paths looked like streams!!!!
After my lovely Frankie bear hugs, we managed a walk, despite the awful weather. Along the way, we found ourselves surrounded by 6 off lead dogs, all well behaved and recalled by their owner, except for the teacup Yorkie, who would have been bite size for Frankie, but no, he got down on his elbows, bum in the air, tail wagging and made friends. Then he mingled with all of the dogs and I was very impressed with Frankis dog skills, he really does love every dog he meets. I chatted to the Lady for a while, she wanted to say hello to Frankie and held out a hand, which I was ready for and asked her not to as he is nervous of strangers. Frankie had the one bark at her but this is what he does, its not hard to keep him safe on walks, he just needs an owner that has awareness. As I said to the lady, if she had sat down with some treats, And let Frankie come to you, he would have made friends. She was very impressed with him and said how handsome he was but as she has 8 rescue dogs, it's a shame she couldn't fit him in at this time. Another time Frankie boy Heart fill with love.gif]

Bravely soldiering on through the deluge!

Frankie loves making new canine friends and he enjoyed a walk with Hadley yesterday. Both dogs like to have a roll around in the long grass and yesterday we had to stop several times for some synchronized rolling. I couldn't get a photo of them rolling at the same time as they do politely give each other space. I need a wide angles lens!

Big Marley walked behind Frankie and Buster today. As ever Frankie was great at putting Marley at ease. Frankie is the sort of dog that if you know him you love him, as all his walkers do. He is the kindest, gentlest dog. I cherish the time I get to spend with this wonderful boy. He has helped so many RR dogs who need company or need to get better around doggy company. A true legend.

Would you like to walk our lovely dogs too?

Ive been on holiday so hadn't seen my boy for a few weekends. I had a lovely greeting from him today, missed him lots! I'm so pleased with Frankie today, as I introduced him to fellow walker, Fiona and he was very good and has so made a new friend. Fiona walked both Buster and Frankie after some intros and we swapped dogs during the walk. Both boys were very good and showed Fiona how easy they are to walk and we're both on best behaviour today thumbs.gif Frankie has come a long way and as I told Fiona, once he likes you, he's your friend now. Build on his trust and get his love, best feeling ever.

I love this boy so much, always a great greeting from Frankie. Walked agin with Fiona and Buster today, and both boys happy in kennel and on walk, so new friend most definitely for the dynamic duo! What a great walk we had today, Frankie and Buster were so well behaved and so we had a very calm, relaxing walk, along with Frankies sudden rolling on the pavement, which always catches me out, I've stood on him a few times 0002.gif] but he carries on in his happy go lucky way. I think it's Frankies ability to be happy, no matter what that endears me to him so much. Frankie took no notice of strangers passing today, he has a look and carries on,mwalker awareness that's the key. Super, super, loving dog who is utterly wasted in kennels, please let his right Mum or Dad come forward for him.

Everyone is fed up with the rain, except Frankie!
Frankie embraces the rain and he made sure he waded into/played in/tasted every single puddle on our walk today and there were many, many puddles.
'If you want rainbows you have to learn to dance in the rain' and Frankie has taught me how to do just that. He brightened up a very dull day today.
and an added bonus, as far as Frankie is concerned, is a rub down with a towel afterwards.

Frankie is always so happy to be going out and his enjoyment is catching! Love taking him out with his best mate Buster. This week we were joined by Rodney who trotted along behind us very nicely.
