We have loved having Shadow to stay again this long weekend, he is such a lovely dog and so sweet and affectionate. He has spent so much time outside in the garden with all this nice weather. When he knows he is going on a walk he starts doing a little bounce and his stumpy tail wags so fast. He has got on so well with Bertha, to be honest I have been surprised how well but maybe I shouldn't be.
Lucky Shadow is now on his way back to John's to be reunited with his favourite lady, Precious.
Don't tell her but he has been developing new friendships whilst away - here's Bertha holding on to her man

Re: Shadow Greyhound x DOB 2007 Gatwick Kenns
Thank you, Ros, for looking after Shadow and for introducing him to his new friend, Bertha. He's obviously had a wonderful time with you....he just loves stretching out in the sun and taking in all the rays and going for his walks. It was great to see him and Precious react when they met up again last evening....so obviously pleased to see each other again.
Re: Shadow Greyhound x DOB 2007 New Romney Foster
It was lovely to see Shadow again at the Charity walk on Sunday. He walked along so well with his fellow foster Bertha and wasn't bothered by any of the many dogs around. He looks amazingly well and very relaxed
Re: Shadow Greyhound x DOB 2007 New Romney Foster
Myself and Sylvie took Shadow off to a local fun dog show last weekend, just to show him off a bit and see how he got on with all the other dogs - he behaved impeccably all day (even when other dogs nearby didn't). He also came 2nd in the Best Rescue category (we wuz robbed - should've been 1st!! ) - and he was up against over 20 other dogs. He's such a handsome chap - people are won over as soon as they meet him and he is far more stunning in the flesh than ever comes across in photos. He is a big, lazy, soppy, affectionate boy who loves a cuddle.
He did really well, especially as it was an indoor event and pretty busy. When we first got inside he was a little overwhelmed by the noise, dogs, toys etc, but soon got into the spirit of things and was sniffing and saying hello to all the other dogs. At one point in the judging he laid down and went to sleep in the middle of it all!
He was very funny when we were looking around the stalls - he pinched a big pink cuddly lion from one stall when he thought no-one was looking and had a good old play with it (we bought it for him) and a new coat and martingale collar.
Anyway, he got lots of attention and new admirers throughout the day (especially when he'd cottoned on the fact that most people seemed to have something nice to eat in their pockets) - he took a particular fancy to another young lurcher bitch, Bella and our neighbour's boxer, Chunky - he really does love doggy-company now and is missing his live-in companion Harry, who was rehomed last Saturday.
Shadow has lived happily with 2 other dogs for two years and we rarely hear a peep out of him when he's walked every morning, though he will have an occasional bark at other dogs, like when a small terriorist decides to have a go, heheh. We suspect that he's actually happier living in the company of other dogs now than as an only dog.
Look how gorgeous and handsome he is.

Wow Shadow looks stunning and is looking so well. His eyes looks so much brighter and he just looks glowing and certainly a lot younger looking than his actual age. You are obviusly looking after him well. I am sure Kiki misses her walks when we would join Ros and Shadow for a walk. Whenever we mentioned Shadow's name she would get excited.
