Cathy needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog to settle. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.Cathy needs a dog experienced family who can support her energy on a lead and control dog encounters as she isover keen. Cathy needs a secure garden with 6' panel fencing and good front door and gate security. Cathy can suffer from car sickness at this stage but may settle once familiar with regular journeys.

Known background: Cathy was handed into a northern pound in May 2013 Rescue Remedies were asked to take her on which we did in August 2013. Cathy is psayed, chipped and fully vaccinated. Cathy is currently in Broxbourne Kennels.

Cathy has a keen friendly energy. Her socialisation needs further work but her foundation is strong. Cathy is clean in her kennel and welcomes strangers & all with affection. Cathy isn't ready for off lead as her enthusiasm is a little too full on unless her encounters are controlled; she welcomes meeting dogs, doesn't like to held back: She would love a few run arounds in a large garden!

Cathy is a Pointer x Mastiff? She is visually astute and intelligent. Her instincts are good and she is learning in situ as best as our circumstances allow but she needs a worthy home to bring her through and offer her the foundation she so deserves.

Cathy loves a cuddle, she's a real softy and very much a people dog. Very easy to harness and walks very nicely, she was a little unsure about Tia but met Nevin really well (twice), maybe she has an eye for the boys

Cathy is such a sweet, friendly & affectionate girl. She welcomed me into her kennel with plenty of kisses & once harnessed (v easily) we had some quiet time away from the kennels. She is lovely to walk on the lead & adores cuddles. Her colouring is amazing & really needs to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated. Her white & black socks and dab of white on the end of her tail top off this pretty package of sweetness.

Walked Cathy today and she is a lovely girl - bouncy and very energetic she loves cuddles and actively leans against your legs for attention and fuss. She has quite a confidence about her, but she will then occasionally get closer to the ground in a more submissive way. She has beautiful markings and she is an all round gorgeous girl, who I am sure will find her home very soon - I can not believe she has been in rescue a year!

I had the pleasure of walking Cathy this morning. She was incredibly easy to harness and waited patiently knowing that the faster we did this the sooner she would get walking! :D

She really has an amazing coat and a very happy face. She walked well and seemed to enjoy the mild rain showers. :)

I took a few photos but only got one decent one! But here is the beautiful girl

Cathy charmed a new walker and I today. Her perfect manners and gorgeous good looks were impossible to resist. Such a gentle girl to walk. I think she will be missed when she finds her forever home.

Truly lovely girl. So pleased to have met her today.

To really melt out hearts Cathy offered Alyson the new walker a tummy to rub to welcome her to our gang.

Cathy was enjoying her tummy tickle but looked up at the camera to checked she was looking cute enough.... absolutely adorable girl. If Alyson or I could have sneaked her home I think we would have.

Her forever family are going to be very lucky. Hope they come soon.

I have fallen in love with this gorgeous girl

As everyone else has said, she is such a gentle, loving girl who adores her cuddles. Easy to harness, easy to walk, easy to handle generally and has the most beautiful colouring. She loved stretching her legs on the flexi lead without pulling me around

I have absolutely no idea why she has been in rescue for a year as she is a lovely girl - someone is missing out on an absolute gem

Cathy is looking for her Heathcliff!

Cathy came to the vets today and had her first vaccination and thorough check over. She was a sheer delight!. Travelled in the front with me was car sick but understandable she must have wondered what it was all about.

Spotted Cathy enjoying some fuss time in the paddock with Debbie and Jessie, couldn't resist, had to go and join them :)

Cathy really is the most gentle and loving girl...

She really does love to roll over for a tummy tickle...

And good for her, it shows off her unique markings on her chest, stunning :love4:

Yes Cathy is definitely a big favourite with the kennel staff, I was asking exactly why and their reply was - 'she's just such an affectionate and loving dog, really wants to be with you - but not over the top'.

So there we have it... Cathy is a real catch of a dog - I too fell under her spell walking her, she sort of 'gets to you' with those big eyes and the gentle way she responds to cuddles. A really beautiful dog both to look at and to be with.
