VOLUNTEERS NEEDED...

Postby staffylevi » Wed Mar 15, 2017 11:13 am

As you are all probably aware RR is partnered with Pets at Home in Hertford... We have just had our partnership renewed with the Hertford store for another year of fundraising!! thumbs.gif

We were also partnered with the Redhill store but no one has come forward to do this for 2017... Are there any volunteers that could do this?? It's very worthwhile and allows individuals to raise money for our dogs and also allows the store to raise monies for our dogs...

All you need to do is give up at least 3 weekends per year; Spring, Summer, Christmas time... Come on people this is the perfect opportunity to help our dogs and, it's great fun!!

WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT...!!
So the charity Support Adoption For Pets has set up a Partnership Scheme with Pets at Home stores to help animals in need. We are and have been partnered with the Hertford store for a few years now. In order to be partnered with the store myself and Lee are obligated to go into store for one weekend 3 x per year when the store has a fundraising drive; this usually takes place in Spring, Summer and Christmas time.
We go in to store under the 'staffierescue' banner as this is our expertise area and raise awareness for the breed and collect much-needed funds for the rescue. By being partnered with a store not only can we collect monies for the rescue but the store can fundraise on our behalf too! There is a stand of sorts/posters etc... floating about the rescue somewhere which was previously used for fundraising at the Redhill store. If you think you can spare three weekends per year then please let me know asap as the partnership needs to be set up!

PLEASE ONLY LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT DOING THIS AS THIS IS A THREE WEEKEND PER YEAR COMMITMENT & THE BEHIND THE SCENE SETUP IS QUITE A LENGTHY PROCESS!

Hi Marie, we live near the Redhill store and would be very happy to support. Just let me know details. We took our beloved Amy along to the last event there and she was such a good girl. Bless her heart xx

Hi Debbie
Once the partnership is set up you will be obligated to do three weekends per year when the store have their fundraising drives; you will liaise with the store direct and choose the dates you want to do so long as they fall within the fundraising drive period (fundraising drives usually run for approx. 4-6 weeks).

Hours in Store...

Lee and I usually do approximately 10am to 5pm but you can choose your own hours. We have split a weekend before and might do a Saturday one weekend and a Sunday another weekend but this is down to store discretion.

I don't know who has all the stuff that was used in the fundraising at Redhill but I am sure we can find out. Anyone???

We don't take RR dogs into store as Public Liability insurance is needed and although, as a rescue, we do have such insurance we feel that it isn't the right environment to put one of our dogs in; strange noises, smells, people stroking and saying hello, kids, lot's going on; etc.. so we feel it best not to put the rescue or our dogs in jeopardy. We do however take one of our own dogs into store as they are very socialised and we know their quirks and how to deal with them... let me know your thoughts and if you are still up for doing this I will get the partnership set up!
