That would be great! I'll bring along my own jar-full and have a big jar at the walk to collect from others!

You can either then pay the amount to the rescue via our Virgin Money Giving page or directly into our bank account. Don't forget the gift aid deceleration of you haven't already done one! If you put it into the bank account, can you let me know the total so I can add it to our jam jar appeal total? Thanks

Metro Bank also provide a free coin counting machine service

"Another Metro Bank feature to point out is its ‘Magic Money Machine’.

While some HSBC branches have coin counting machines that allow you to add loose change to your account, Metro Bank has a Magic Money Machine in every branch for both account holders and non-account holders alike.

These can not only be used to pay in change, but to turn coins into notes (non-account holders are limited to £100 though).

I’ve used this a few times and while it’s not very user-friendly (the interface is totally non-intuitive), a staff member has always been there to basically do all the work for me."

They have a dog friendly policy, and apparently have water bowls in their branches. I will check this out when I go in next week, it saves the 9.9% fee on many other machines.

This is a brilliant idea. Conveniently I do have a container full of coins which my son is counting as I write just to see how much is in there out of curiosity. We are more than happy to donate this for RR. Hopefully £1000 plus will be raised by the end of the year.

My collection of 20p's and under came to £36.08, so I have rounded this up to £40 and just pay-palled it to you. Gift tax form completed as well.

Metro Bank had water bowls in their lobby and little dog treats at the main counter. It's a shame I left my dog at home but I didn't feel that the rest of the shopping centre would be quite as welcoming. The magic money machine was quite easy to use.

Our Jam Jar Appeal is ongoing!

We have currently raised £316.05, and I have a very large coffee jar full of coins that several people donated at the charity walk to cash in yet.

Perhaps make it your New Years resolution to put a few coins in each day?

Giving this another boost up on Facebook. Easy way to raise funds.

Just set up an empty jar and bung in the change!

Every penny counts!

This is a really good idea. Is there any reason we cannot continue doing this now?
