Can you sew ?

Post by Sarahk » Wed Sep 27, 2017 8:57 pm

Can you sew ?
Do you have a sewing machine ?

Volunteer seamstresses required !
No experience necessary and we won't be judging your stitching !

We are looking for help cutting up and restitching some duvets into smaller pieces so we can use them in the Gatwick kennels for the winter. We have lots of large duvets waiting to be adapted !

If you can help please comment below - you would need to be able to collect from and deliver back to our Gatwick base (near Horley, Surrey).

Please help if you can. Our doggies will be very grateful thumbs.gif

My sewing skills are zero but I'm willing to help in the name of our dogs. My mother however is quite a dab hand thumbs.gif

I can't (God forbid) but my wife Shirley is an expert and will be happy to volunteer.

Thankyou everyone, perfect thumbs.gif

The duvets are at Gatwick. I believe what is needed is that they are cut into 4 smaller pieces and the edges re-sewed to keep the filling in ! They are then a manageable size to use in the kennels and will definitely provide warmth over the winter.

I'm away next week so please ask Lynne for the duvet supply, take what is sensible for you and on with the sewing !!!

Many many thanks thumbs.gif
