Waitrose: can you approach your local store

This is invaluable way to raise our profile and bring in much needed funds. Please approach your local Waitrose store and use the description below to attach when completing their pamplet via their customer services desk.

THANK YOU on behalf of our dogs. Standard description for application:

Rescue Remedies Dog Rescue

Rescue Remedies rescues homeless dogs from council pounds having run out of time, saving them from being needlessly put to sleep. Focused in the South of England but being an internet organisation, have acclaim Nationwide. Families carefully vetted through an in-depth questionnaire; interview then homecheck and/ or vet check. We have a network of volunteers homecheck all over the country most have homed one of our dogs. Rescue Remedies has no premises, run by dedicated volunteers from their homes and use boarding kennels.

All our dogs are neutered, vax'd and chipped, wormed before homing, and assessed for the right family. We are specialists in Terriers and Staffies. We very seldom to put a dog to sleep; only due to extremes in behaviour or ill health. 6 vet practices offer us discounts supporting our work. Our adoption fee of £175 only covering vet bills. Our kennelling costs are £11000 a month with sadly 68 dogs in boarding kennels at any one time. We are dependant on fundraising and donations via our websites. A few dedicated people have standing orders supporting our work. No wages or expenses are claimed, all volunteers. A registered Charity since 2010 Charity no. 1139407

Rescue Remedies enjoys a wonderful reputation in caring for society's discards; giving them life and worth, gaining treasured positions in their receiving families. We try to make rescuing dog a thrilling experience in finding a dog that matches into each family's lifestyle; a far superior venture than buying a puppy. Any money donated is carefully spent in supporting our long-term kennelled dogs.

Can people research their local store This is such a good way to raise the profile of our Rescue and to support our dogs. Just pop into your local store and pick up a leaflet...your can focus on Terrierrescue or on Staffierescue or simply rescue remedies. each will draw in great interest though ofcourse we are registered as Rescue Remedies Dog Rescue

ASDA do a similar thing with their green tokens, but it has to be local charities so no point me doing it down here! However, might be worth filling in a form in ASDAs nearer the kennels?

Not sure about the waitrose one, just that the ASDA thing it for local charities
