Sadly Rosco reached the end of the road and his devoted family needed to offer him Peace He became blind and deaf but his sense of smell was still very intact.

Rosco's thread below
Homed

Homing Requirements: Rosco (and BillyBob) need owners who can afford 2 dogs and have dog experience to offer them time to settle into an new home and routine. They need a secure garden with exit management. As they were found stray their owners need patience in discovering their needs.

His Story: Rosco and BillyBob were found stray tied up together in a local park. They are a pair and would love to find a home together. Both have already been neutered and just going through vax and microchipping. Currently in boarding kennels near Gatwick.

Advert: Rosco is a Hound x Staffie. He has his nose to the ground and he has attractive, sad and jouly look of a hound. His coat is orange brindle and he is small in stature (small staffie size) Rosco is fluent with dogs and easy to walk. He doesn't pull and is busy smelling and marking his territory as he goes. Very loving but not overtly licky.

Rosco was in partnership with BillyBob who is more upbeat within their current circumstance. Rosco is quiet and aware; he looks a little bewildered by being in kennels. Both dogs strike you as having been well cared for and one can only think circumstances changed and noone was able to help the owner in supporting a new homing. A really easy pair who will colour any family's world with sunshine and joy.

Please visit Rosco HoundxStaffie Staffie DOB 08 Petworth on our Forum to find out more about him/them and follow his/ their progress.

If you are interested in re-homing please complete Our on-line homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found"

Rosco's thread is below: Watch his progress through our Rescue

Referral Details: Rosco and BillyBob were found tied up together in a local park. They are not currently sharing a kennel but I have no doubt would be perfectly fine to double-bunk. They have settled well in kennels apart, although will look for each other given the opportunity.

I walked this sweet boy on Saturday

He's lovely, friendly and thoroughly enjoyed his walk. We stopped to talk to a lady in the village who took a bit of a shine to him 8)

I didn't realise that he came in with Billy Bob - it would be lovely to see them in a home together

Rosco, along with his buddy Billy Bob stopped of at the vets during their walk for vax and chip. Though Rosco isn't quite as food orientated as Billy Bob, he likes his treats but they weren't going to detract him from having that huge (to my eyes) chip needle heading his way. That said he was a very very good boy and didn't so much as flinch.

Very handsome friendly lad.

Today we met up with lynne, with the view of adopting Doogs, he was a grand old boy, but our dog honey had a little too much energy for him. Lynne had bought rosco and billy-bob with her, and rosco immediatley stole our hearts. He and honey walked well together, and seemed to get along. We decided there and then we would be taking him home. He travelled well in the car on the hour journey not a peep out of him. Once home, he appeared very shy and spent alot of time walking nose to ground and marking his new territory, honey so far has shown no objection to him being in her space!!. After the initial calm, came a slight storm, with rosco taking to flying round the garden in circles barking as he went, relishing in the freedom of the garden. He calmed quickly. he appears very good around the children, even when they were eating. We have noticed his staffiness coming through. During play he got a little excited and jumped and mouthed at my husbands hands, but with a strong word he again calmed quickly. So far so good!! we're hoping for a calm evening but preparing ourselves for the night ahead. he appears relaxed in our company, hopefully the cheeky boy isn't lulling us into a false sense of security!! have attatched some pictures, although so far he's proving a little camera shy!!
