So, so sad [cry.gif] and so terribly unfair. Poor, poor girl. Sarah, I don't know how you will do this, but you will, and thank you. zayla and Duke know they are loved, I'm just so sorry their home didn't come together, but yes, we must get little Duke into a loving home now, bless him. Being the smaller, easier dog, I'm hopeful this won't take long now. Love to Zayla and all volunteers involved, it will be a sad weekend.

I was just heartbroken to read this news this morning smiley-sad010.gif

I am so sad for everyone who has cared for and walked Zayla (& Duke)...Sarah, you are a star...thank you so much for everything you are going to do for them this weekend.

I have everything crossed that Duke will find his new home or that someone can at least offer him a foster so that he doesn't have to go back into kennels.

I remember saying goodbye to this pair before I moved away in Jan. I'd already gone in for cuddles and I walked past their kennel the last time they were cuddled up together in their bed and I thought I knew they'd be ok as they have each other.... but Zayla will leap over rainbow bridge with an energy and agility that surprises us all including RR friends who will meet her there. She always amazes us at how much bounce she has for a voluptuous girlie.

And off she'll go in peace but still she'll watch over her Dukey, knowing she's adored as he is and one day she'll see him again. Enjoy your weekend, beautiful Zayla, we love you so much.

This lovely couple have had a super day, a good night and after a garden visit back to bed for a lie in :D
Both enjoyed their breakfasts, Zayla’s appetite hasn’t been affected bless her, and then cuddles on the sofa xxx

We headed over to the Kennels to meet Zayla’s Saturday fans, they had a lovely time in the sunshine in the paddock with the kennel team and walkers. They feasted on McDonalds thumbs.gif

Thank you to Charlie for telling us by private email the devastating news about Zayla when we got back from South Africa this morning, so we didn't just read it on the post. We are both so very very sad. We wish with all our hearts she had found a loving home. We are really hoping some good can come from this awful situation and dear Duke will now be snapped up by a loving family x
