Oscar Staffie DOB 02.02.08 - 06.06.18
to have to tell you all my beautiful Oscar has past away this morning, he was having trouble walking and had mineral deposits on all his joints which the vets and a specialist
had no idea what to do but he was still ok walking only little walks and had to be carried downstairs
but yesterday the poor man was screaming in pain, and i couldn't put him through that he was rushed to hospital last night where he spent the night ,but the phone call this morning was not good news.
Asked them to keep him awake till i got there to be with him and now at least no more pain and at peace, he will now be in doggie heaven with my old fatboy creating havoc and chasing frogs

Homing Requirements: Oscar needs to be an only pet and max. part time working hours companionship home. Oscar needs support outside and takes his confidence from his handler, and best kept moving to build up his confidence. Tail chases initially with new stress but fades. Secure garden with front door security/ exit management. Only pet status. Oscar is proven with young live-in children.
His Story: Oscar has grew up alongside an older child and a baby, now 4 years old: Change of circumstance and he lost his home and we offered him a place. Oscar is neutered, chipped and vax'd. Currently in kennels near Guildford.
Advert: Oscar is a delightful lickle Staffie. A vocal lad who tries to speak with you grumbles, snorts and smiles. Oscar soon settles in a home settling happy in his own space and tolerates sleeping in his bed downstairs and settles when left. Lost in kennels he is ever happy to meet and greet and mixes with other leaded dogs. Found it difficult to cope in high dog density but with guidance and reassurance keeping walking he settles.
Oscar is a 5 year old brindle Staffie with white accessories. Oscar recently lost his tail due tail chasing injury in prolonged kennelling. His tail chasing soon settles after initial stress, in fact is very settled in a family home. He isn't destructive, isn't focused on human's food, and delights in playing with toys and exchanging play. Fetch, tummy tickles, 'good boy' and strokes are top of his list.

Re: Oscar Staffie DOB 2010 Guildford Kenns
Just realised that I haven't put the pictures up of the gorgeous scrummy little Oscar - I took him in the paddock at Godstone before he headed over to Gatwick on Saturday late afternoon and got top Oscar kisses
Top little lad with a wonderful sunny personality, and top cuddle monster to boot :love4:

Oscar had a lovely journey centre stage on the passenger seat through country towns to deliver him into Guildford Kenns. He had a wonderful walk along the river with Tilly, her new family and Janey. No photos but he was very relaxed and has stolen Tilly's kennels as she no longer needs it!

Re: Oscar Staffie DOB 2010 Guildford Kenns
So, yes, Oscar came home with us last night and he is LOVELY! :love4:
After just one night I can honestly say if we were in a position to take on a dog permanently he would be a real candidate. So loving, walks easily, meets other dogs well and people too. Loves kisses and cuddles. Sadly chases his non-existent tail, I think this is just because he is so unsettled and anxious because of his current circumstances. I'm sure given a stable home environment this behaviour would disappear. Found it difficult to settle and relax but that is only natural when he just moved kennels this week and then was taken home by us. Likes a doggie bed too.
Knows sit, down, and no and his name. Appears to be house trained. Doesn't beg for food and it is easy eat around him. He is engaged with his surroundings and he introduced us to staffie singing which was very amusing. A real little character who will thrive in the right environment - we hope his new home is not too far away x
Here are a few photos:
Posing in the sunshine by the lake at Godalming yesterday
Cuddle break time
Loving licks on the sofa
Happy to have a snuggle
What a fine looking fellow!

Re: Oscar Staffie DOB 2010 Guildford Kenns
We took Oscar out for a walk with Duke today, both of them seemed to go well together so we took them to the pub for a drink and a bit of chill time.
Oscar is a real sweetpie, loves to get on your lap to share love and licks. Also loves his walks, no pulling but strides out checking his surroundings as he goes, is fascinated by ducks so you need to be prepared if he sights some. Doesn't seem bothered by other dogs.
Time for a break

Oscar walked in a big group today, I don't think he was entirely comfortable and would of liked some quiet time away from kennels. Next time little teddy bear
