The way you have nurtured little Alfie and given him the confidence to shine has been a joy to watch. As I read your write ups I am always jealous - how lovely to be with a dog that gives you so much. So.... to see this has made me so happy for Alfie - a truly deserving boy and also for all of your family as you obviously have a dog made in heaven

Just a quick update, more than anything to see if I can upload from my new phone! Alfie is doing well and socialisation with our cat is going quite well. Not quite well enough to be able to take a one-handed picture but I'm working on that!
We're off to a horse and dog show today and we might even enter Alfie into a category or two!

What a wonderful photo. Alfie looks so part of the family and looks like he knows it too. What a happy ending for dear Alfie (or is that a beginning?)

Oh brilliant photo! It looks like it could be a caption competition! I'd like to frame it and put it on my wall; it would make me smile everyday!

It is a rather good picture. I was at my parents house and I'd just left the table to look at the start of the Grand Prix. When I came back he'd jumped on my chair and looked like he was holding court!
As you can see Alfie was entered in the Best Rescue Dog category at the local horse and dog show.....and came 3rd! Personally, I think he should have won but I'm not complaining......

We were SO proud of Alfie yesterday! he was in very good company too: a very large "best rescue dog class" (at least 16 dogs, maybe more) including an adorable one-eyed rottweiler (!).....so, all said, I think he did absolutely marvellously!
He behaved considerably better than the horse did, that's forsure.
Today, he's been helping me decorate mum's kitchen....this has involved laying under the ladder and going to sleep on the dustsheets, but it all counts as "help" after all.
He's just the best little dog around and I love him to bits!
