Hi Everyone,
Sorry its been a while since I updated Ellie's post, We've now officially adopted her!
She is settling in really well, gets walked twice a day and plays fetch like a pro in the back garden 2/3 times a day and after walks too ( she really likes to run after her walk ( my son said that the walks just "warm her up"! )
We are taking her to dog training and learning some good, stimulating games, and how to walk her correctly and this really helps, she picks up things very fast! on walks now she is so much easier to control on the gentle lead, when their is an excitable dog getting too close to her, before in the harness she would turn and get fixated and growl, now just a gentle pull and she loses interest. Ellie is being introduced to lots of things and its interesting to see that she is still a bit of a puppy when watching her experience things like shop windows, cars, bikes etc, she gets used to things pretty quickly which is really nice. She has her own crate, but still spends half the time on the sofas!
Met lots of new family members last weekend when visiting Christine's relatives, shes also just noticed we have a rabbit which she finds soooo fascinating! Her hair is growing back on the sides of her chest and is looking really well.
Shes been busy keeping our daughter company, who has a bad throat infection, lying by her most of the time.
She seems to really trust us now, coming up to both me and Christine and holding her head against ours!
Please see the photos below, not in any particular order, but taken over the last couple of weeks, the last ones were a couple of days ago. - Wayne & Christine

Hi Everyone,
just like to say that Ellie is doing awesome! or is that pawsome?
anyway, she's getting lots of walks and attention, she has a "pack" now consisting of a bichon frise called Florence and a black lab called Bailey who she is walking with more often.
She plays little attention to the cats even when Bertie hisses!
Shes great with people, however she likes to lunge at other dogs so she is a work in progress with that and is doing it less, but can be a bit sneaky trying to get a nip at other dogs.
We went out with Marie (Staffie levi) and Lee today along with the lovely Lois and Cassie for walk in a big field in Sawbridgeworth, many thanks to them for taking the time to work with us, she had a bit of a go at Lois, but she seemed to calm down after being brought into check, as Lee said, she needs to know her place, which she does well with people but she needs to know her place in the dog world and that lunging at other dogs is a no no!
We work with a trainer once a week and walking with her is a pleasure, she is getting much better when she sees other dogs too. Her coat is now great and the bald areas have totally regrown.
please see the pictures below
Thanks Wayne & Chris

Here are some snaps of Ellie, and hopefully a video if we've worked it out!
Ellie is now a true member of the family, cats no problem, people always has been good, still a low growl (rare) when shes tired and shes kissed on the head too many times! but we have her sussed and know its time for her to have a sleep!
She has some friends, 2 Labs, 1 Poodle type ? and she met one very big Great Dane (aren't they all?) and after putting him in his place was fine with him too (she knocked him over and held him down! (honestly!) didn't hurt him though and they ran around well after that and we spent about 30min chatting to the owner while the dogs were investigating.
Ellie loves running around with other dogs off lead, only sometimes when running she tries to 'nip' them and when told 'no!' she immediately stops.
We've discovered Ellie is not dog aggressive however she is ''dog dominant'' and maybe still a bit un-socialized from her past still although every month she gets better with other dogs, but she likes to show who's boss, then she will walk off lead with them no problem.
She sleeps on our bed, the kids bed and sometimes even her own bed !
Shes walked everyday, always throwing and retrieving a ball that is her favorite game, usually twice a day weather permitting, her favorite place by far is the river bank walks!
She walks with a dog walker and their pack once a week to meet new doggy friends!
Anyway, she is pampered exercised, trained and is having a great life!

And another
