Hi from Stanley & his humans. A little update on Stan the Man and photos taken on Mothering Sunday.
Stanley continues to settle into his new home really well & into our hearts too. He's happy to come on my 7am walk around the woods and is now greeting all the other dogs & their humans each morning as if he's known them all his life. It's a joy to see woo.gif] Most afternoons he gets to go to another wood or open space with Steven, so he's never bored lol.gif and of course Thursdays are Finnegan days thumbs.gif
Stanley is still a 'puller' round the streets but we are trying hard to tame that.
The only thing which makes us a little sad is that in his previous life he must have had a human with a small white van, as he gets really excited & pulls towards a van if parked & sniffs the handles but of course is disappointed its not 'the one'.
By the way Lynne we have had to ditch the super duper padded harness within the first week, he hated it. So glad we had the RR harness, we have one happy doggie who sits ready to be harnessed with head up to receive it.
We love the Kiki dances he does when he's excited about anything and the sweet little hand licks when he's being cuddled. Yes, Stan is our Man Kiss of love.gif

Hi everyone Kiss of love.gif just wanted to post a couple of photos of our lovely Stanley. We can't believe it's 3 months tomorrow (17th Jan-17th April) since our gorgeous boy came home to Rayleigh with us. He gives us so much pleasure every day, he's so calm, loving and such fun. I think we have been truly accepted now as the 'sofa hog' is happy to share the settee with us and all the members of the family and in fact will round us up from where ever we are in the house, doing a 'Kiki' dance expressly asking us to sit with him. 0077.gif He regularly climbs up and falls asleep on one of us. His 'touchy' back legs don't seem to be an issue now mainly due to my frequently massaging them, he does still get stiff in his legs when he's run around too much but as he's now getting used to more exercise the stiff days are getting more infrequent.
Stan is really relaxed both at home and outside, the family all love him. He will be coming with us on our holibobs soon so the next photos will probably be of Stanley on a beach in Suffolk, fingers crossed it's in sunshine not in pouring rain :crossfingers.gif:
I have finally found the right commands to stop him pulling, so short lead around the streets are happy events for my poor shoulders lol.gif and finding a few local places he can go off lead makes sure that he gets a really good run every day and boy is he fast - especially where there are squirrels :dog_running-186.gif: 0028.gif

Please come and sit with me
