I had my first walk with Spud awhile back and this handsome charmer won me over straight away.
The weather was blazing hot by the time we got out for our walk so we kept it short.
He walked very well on lead and was no effort at all. He wasn't bothered by traffic or the one other dog we met.
Spud was quite happy to cool off in the long grass and lay there having a fuss made of him.
What a pleasant first walk Spud, I look forward to our next.

Spud and I had a fun walk today. Now to me Spud is a charming chap who's calm ways and his enjoyment of life is a joy.
This handsome lad had some treats in the truck and trot up the drive. He likes to amble and have a good sniff about.
We sat for a while at the end of the drive having some treats and hugs then as I got up we saw Rebecca walking William so we joined them in the walk back to H.Q. Spud and William got on really very well and both walked calmly and orderly together back down the drive.
Spud is a very kind, relaxed dog and every kind of wildlife is respected by him whilst walking, even when squirrels were squeaking around him.
He's happy with short walks and cuddles with a few treats and ignored cats under the truck.
This wonderful chap is a dollop of happiness on legs.
Thanks for a fun walk Spud.

I was just heading out for a walk with Buster this morning and we met Spud and Helen. Spud immediately wanted to be friends with Buster and to go where Buster was going, so we walked the two boys together. Spud certainly looked up to Buster (emotionally and physically!) and really enjoyed his company. Buster was very calm and gentle around Spud, looking out for him. love4.gif

Thank you Anne for those lovely photos and indeed for sharing your walk with Buster with us. What an amazing little dog is Spud - so good natured and friendly. We had not met before yesterday but he gave me a lovely greeting and was ready for his walk within minutes. He did enjoy spending time with his tall, lovely new mate, Buster and would probably like most dogs. He sniffled and snuffled and didn't object at all when Ella, one of our lovely kennel girls, removed a tick from his ear - ticks are a common hazard at this time of the year. I could have put Buster in my bag and taken him home - I am totally smitten! :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:
