Suzie's Story: After investigation, a questionable rescue was closed down by the RSPCA in the spring of 2018. Suzie and her sister Misty were part of the many displaced dogs originating from this site who then needed emergency accommodation. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Suzie arrived at our rescue in October 2018, after being boarded in kennels elsewhere for several months. Suzie is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Suzie is now in boarding kennels near Guildford whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Suzie finally arrived today and is wonderful ....it will be so lovely to offer her what we were able to offer her sister a few months ago and gain her rightful family home in due course.

Suzie enjoyed a walk with Sue yesterday, accompanied by Buster and myself. Suzie was immediately drawn to Buster and the affection was mutual. It was lovely to see these two dogs so relaxed and clearly enjoying each other company.

Met Susie for the first time today and what a little dream, not especially familiar with the breed I have seen nothing but gentle friendliness from ours. Susie walks beautifully on the lead and is responsive and interested in her surroundings. She walked perfectly with Rizzie today and had a positive calming influence on him. Susie is going to make a very loving companion for a lucky person. blob6.gif] blob6.gif] blob6.gif] blob6.gif] blob6.gif]

I had the pleasure of Suzie today and she is just gorgeous to walk. Just looking at her face when she goes along, she loves walking by the river where there are lots of ducks to stare at. She is very ladylike and dainty, so pretty, and likes a nice amble with lots of stopping and sniffing. We met a small terrier and I held her collar as I don’t know her well but she showed no reaction and doesn’t seem that interested in other dogs. She is lovely and affectionate as well and rummaged in my backpack looking for sausages.

:welcome.gif: Took Suzie out for the day with a little visit to my uni home and she was absolutely wonderful!
So easy on the walk; very friendly with other people and dogs.
She loved having a run around in the garden and is very curious about her surroundings.
Seems to be house trained, although further training will be required to prevent any accidents.
She takes a while to settle in as she can be quite anxious, but nothing a little love can't fix!

We had Suzie to stay for a two night break, she is such a sweet, calm girl. She is very happy to chill out on her bed and watch TV in between walks. She was very good with my two dogs and good with everyone we met. She was happy to sleep downstairs by herself during the night and didn't stir once.

I walked Suzie today it was my second walk within a week. She has a serenity about her, not fazed by anything. Harnessed easily walked past kennel friends on our way out without a worry. We walked along the river where there were canal boats, joggers, bikes. She excelled her relaxed nature when two off lead dogs ran towards her, came up to her and smelt her. I had waved and indicated could the owners put leads on or hold their dogs. But the owners couldn’t catch up with their dogs to take control. They were very apologetic, Suzie was a real star! other dogs I’ve walked might not have been so calm. She’s a lovely girl, with a very sweet nature so innocent doesn’t deserve to be in kennels! love4.gif
