I walked Maisie today, and what a Lady she is! A more gentle dog you couldn't meet and she walked beautifully with little Scruffy, the Patterdale. Quite happy walking up close to each other and a very relaxing walk. Slow is the walking pace with Maisie, on a loose lead, easy girl. She did become alert when she saw the kennel cat, but then she is a Lurcher, so that's normal. Somebody will be very lucky to have Maisie as their friend.

(Returned to the Rescue due to owner's illness)

Maisie met Sheila today and a partnership was formed. Maisie had a good old sniff round the house, discovered the fabulous garden, rolled around on her very own lawn and then lay down in the sunshine while we did the paperwork. Sheila was missing the sound of doggy footsteps in the house and Maisie was very happy to fill that need, I am sure that they will be very happy together love4.gif

Very sad news. Maisie's owner is now terminally ill and so Maisie is coming back to us on the 12th November 2018.

Oh no that's dreadful news, I'm so sorry to hear that. Let's hope Maisie goes straight into a new home, bless her. Thoughts to Sheila and family.

That is so sad and so awful for Maisie. I so hope her owner gets better - it must be awful for her. Maisie didn't thrive in kennel care and so fingers crossed that she finds another home soon. [cry.gif]

I can't think of an easier, more gentle, more loving dog than Maisie. I have started to walk her on a fairly regular basis when I go to the kennels and I just love my time spent with her in the woods. She walks to heel and is very attentive if you speak to her. Gorgeous girl - let's hope your home comes along soon. :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:
