A rather worried Porridge has come to stay for a while. So far he's largely ignored Harpo and Zeppo and been rather puzzled by Alfredo's invitations to play. What really matters is food (he's quite skinny), cuddles and a bit of time with a tennis ball. Now that I've put a crate in the kitchen he seems to feel more secure and relaxed but there's clearly quite a way to go …

Porridge coped very well with life in foster -including dealing with the home team - and a rather more confident little Jack Russell met Romey and David yesterday. They have had dogs all their lives and understand that Porridge needs to learn quite a few skills to be really settled and happy. After some time cuddling and walking with his new people here in Kingston Porridge was on his way to rural Herefordshire and the quiet life he needs. Apparently he slept through most of the journey. As you can see from pictures David and Romey kindly sent me it looks like Porridge - now Porrit - has already settled in (sorry I can't seem to lighten the shot of Porrit relaxing on the back of the sofa). Thank you both for giving this special boy a chance to shine.

Apologies to all Porridge fans for not posting sooner but all is well in Herefordshire and the little lad - now named "Porrit" - is finding his feet. He is now familiar with the (large) garden and is becoming used to all the new sounds, both indoors and out. Apparently he is being "democratic" and splitting his evening sofa time equally between David and Romey. thumbs.gif

Oh Porrit, how lovely to see that the quiet life you craved is suiting you so well in Herefordshire.
Thank you Romey & David for coming forward for this special lad. To see that his skin and tail are so very furry and fluffy is pure magic!

An email arrived, subject "Guess where I am?" and … there's Porrit, now with his own passport, on holiday in Brittany. Not only is his tail now even more furry he's also growing in confidence. It's not enough to just take over Romey and David's lives; apparently Porrit has made determined efforts to run the caravan site too ..
