Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces, and manage and support encounters so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Bella's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Bella's progress through our Rescue below
Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. 14.03.18: Hello Lynne,

This is Bella. She has been in our council kennels since November. She is really sweet natured with people and a lovely dog, however she doesn't seem to like other dogs ion the kennel envirnoment. To my knowledge she hasn't tried to go for other dogs, but will bark at them in the kennels and wind them up a bit. Bella is chipped to the previous owner who sold her in March last year and no owner came forward for her. She has settled well in our kennels, however we have not been able to rehome her through our usual centres due to her reaction to other dogs. Would you be able to help us? It would be wonderful to be able to find her the loving home she deserves.

What a sweet pea, poor Bella seemed subdued when I entered her kennel today, she wasn't too sure whether to stay in her bed or come up to say hello. I won her round with a few sausages & after a short while Bella seemed to think it a good idea to go for a walk. She was very easy to take in and out the kennel block, she didn't react to the other dogs barking. When we got outside Bella was a bit unsure but after taking things slowly and having a good sniff around at all the new smells we had a walk up the lane. At times Bella stopped and looked up at me for reassurance. She really is a lovely gentle girl. I am looking forward to taking her out again this week. love4.gif

What a change in Bella this afternoon, she gave me a wonderful greeting and was very eager to go for a walk. This gorgeous girl loves having a good sniff at all the new smells when out and about. We had a short run up the lane and I was surprised at how fast she is able to run despite her short legs. This lady definitely doesn't like getting her paws muddy - well she is a lady after all.
