Thanks all. Cookie is settling well. He knows our walk to the local field and when he has had enough he leads ME home .

He tells me when he needs to do his business by going to his lead . Clever boy.

He loves his cuddles and his kong.

He was a little nervous on our walk yesterday early evening as the wind kept blowing everything around and the excitement of being away from the kennel was probably over whelming for him .

As far as the cats go I’m impressed so far . Teddy my very laid back boy has shared the same space with him in the lounge ( first proper day so I had him on lead when the cats came in) .. cookie seems to be cat blind until they start moving then he looks but looks away when I call him so I’m pretty confident they will all be friends in a few weeks .

We had a quiet sofa evening and he settled well when I went to bed ( I stayed awake listening out ) and no peep.
Eventually he will come up with me anyway but for now he is in the lounge whilst he settles with the cats.....
Came down this morning and he was calm, waggy tailed and full of love .

He’s demanding cuddles as I type so ta ta for now from Cookie love4.gif

Oh my goodness, your sweet Cookie is living the dream, Jo! He knows he has found his forever home, and it sounds like he will certainly make friends with Billy, Charlie and Teddy. What kind boys they are to welcome a little brother! Have fun, and be very happy together - we'll look forward to more updates as he settles in!
Love from Jacqui, Caroline and Tansy xxx

Thanks everyone.
Cookie has been with us a week now and he is settling well. He loves his kong and his ball and likes to play ‘ you can’t have my ball but I’m going to tease you with it ‘ .
He’s very cheeky and nudges his nose into my arms when he wants fuss , which is most of the time ! Cookie is such a good lad out n about , he’s getting to know his patch when we do our early morning walk, sniffing and snuffling everything . He doesn’t like long walks and as soon as he knows we are heading black home his pace quickly picks up lol.
Hes so well house trained he tells me when he wants to go out to do his business .
As far as the cats go they are very accepting of Cookie and Cookie has been very well behaved around them. Teddy likes to join us on our walk part of the way ! If Cookie does get fixated and starts to chase a stern no from me and he listens really well.
We are working through his protective issues in the house and I simply ignore the growls directed at other people or noises .
He’s getting to know the dogs over the fences that he can’t see and having chat with them , seems uneasy , probably because he can’t see them but soon enough they will meet I’m sure .
He’s very needy at the moment but slowly learning that he can just relax when we are chilling on the sofa in front of the tv .
Cookie might be changed to Bobby but I’m still undecided as he does know his name so well ...
That’s is for now from Cookie and I . Catch ya soon xx
