Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. 07.02.18: Hi Lynne,

I have been contacted by a girl I know as she was in school with my brother, but she has a 4 year old male 'Patterdale' she needs to rehome. Her dad passed away recently to bowel cancer and her mum is failing, so she needs to move back in with her, mum has two dogs and a cat and she just cannot take her dog with her.

4 year old, neutered, vacs out of date but she is happy to send a donation to cover this, could you possibly squeeze him in as well as Taffy & Queenie?

Sorry to ask but as I am coming up I thought its worth asking, he is still in the home as I have said I have no room unless you agree.

Thanks Mikey xxx

I was very taken with Cookie when I met him today. I used Cookie for a supported walk for new walker, Jan. I think we spent the whole walk saying "she" only to realise Poor Cookie is a boy 0002.gif] Anyway, what a delightful, well behaved boy he is. He walked like a dream alongside Codi, doesn't pull at all and I love how cheeky looking he is and how he skips alongside his walker, looking up every now and then. Very quiet in the kennel and easy to harness. Very nice dog.

Oh my goodness, what a lovely little dog! Cookie is so friendly and really enjoyed our walk together, trotting out at a fast pace and enjoying sniffles and snuffles along the way. Hopefully he won't be in kennel care long. :smiley-bounce016.gi: :crossfingers.gif:

My first walk with Cookie today and what pleasant dog. From the very start I was impressed by his manners.
He will sit and stay by roadside, sit and give a foot for treats, walks without tension on lead and if not sure about things will look up for guidance. He is great with traffic, horses, cyclists, and motorbikes, even a crazy barking dog didn't bother him.
Arrhar but I know where there be squirrels. So off to find squirrels we went.
We found the squirrels and he sat there watching, nicely. So time to get the squirrels miffed, I made my best squirrel noises and they came down to see what kind of fool makes those noises. Cookie was not bothered. So off to the truck for treats and hugs.
Great dog and a fun walk, Thank you Cookie.

Cookie came back as he seemed concerned when Carl approached Clare and put his arm around something that if people were aware before homing possibly you could work on but as Carl hadnt lived with a dog before it put tension in the the home

I met and walked Cookie for the first time today. He was very calm in his kennel but got a bit more interested when he saw my leads. He is lovely to walk and was at heel, or within a foot of me, on a loose lead the whole time. He kept checking back at me and was quite engaged. He does seem a bit nervous and was startled by a squeaky fence panel and noisy vans etc. Really sweet boy.
