Hugo is so so loving, had a fabulous night, neither of us stirred til gone 7 and when I did I just turned over and went back to sleep, Hugo didn’t flinch !!!
At 8.30when I moved I got greeted by Hugo sloppy kisses, you’ve got to love the young man but they are very slobbery !!!
Up, outside, then brekkie time and post breakfast snoozey cuddles on the sofa
Hugo does like to snuggle into the smaller end of the sofa, wedged next to me
I just about managed to peel myself away from Hugo snuggles and commonwealth games on the tele to take a shower, Hugo doesn’t like to be stay behind so toddled up the stairs with me. As I came out the shower I heard a low grumble from Hugo, what’s he seen I thought to myself... as I went to look this beautiful biggish dog was stood just inside my bedroom door looking up towards the ceiling, not quite ceiling height, more high shelf... and what was on that shelf which was on the opposite wall the other side of my bed ??? ...
.... a relatively tiny teddy bear from my childhood !!!
Bless Hugo, I told him not to be worried and went to get the Teddy down, well poor Hugo scarpered out the room like a shot ! I managed to encourage him back and he came over very timidly to sniff the teddy bear, every bit of him ready to run away at every moment !!! He did finally lick my teddy bears muzzle
Next I got down snoopy dog, apparently he wasn’t quite so scary but still had a very timid Hugo approach but overcame his fears quicker this time
Still not too sure, keeping a close eye on THAT shelf !!! ...
Just goes to show how sensitive, tender and easily spooked these dogs are, worried by things we wouldn’t expect, bless them and bless dearest Hugo
Slightly more at ease
and very very handsome
And thankfully relaxed enough to lie on his tum for a tickle, cheeky face
We had a bit of time before we needed to head to the vets to get his tail checked, he’s been soooo good, not touched his bandage once, definitely surprised us
so we headed to the garden for some ball fun...
- Love this pair of photo’s, it sums up Hugo’s intense concentration :0) And very gorgeous ears xxx
With the aid of a few treats Hugo was a brave soldier and let me take the sticky plaster and bandage off his tail - it was very well stuck !!!, our vet was delighted with the wound, really clean and healing process underway where his tail was amputated. Poor Hugo wasn’t so keen on having a new bandage put on, exceptionally wriggly wriggly wriggly and slightly too soon to leave it exposed so our vet sedated him briefly to get the bandage back on well, bless Hugo he went out like a light and then very woozy woo as he came round with a lovely neat bandage on his tail and we slowly wobbled to my car !!!
Home and lots more sofa snoozin’ by Hugo and commonwealth games watching by me
- Holding handsies xxx
