Thank you everyone for all your kind words, yes Danny is now officially homed, it was inevitable really - once you take them home..........this is our third failure of fostering but also our third success at homing! He`s a lovely boy and also a bit cheeky sometimes - he did some counter surfing the other day and nicked my freshly buttered baguette and wolfed it down in 2 nano seconds! 0002.gif]

United together in the pleading for a treat!
United together in the pleading for a treat!
Danny had a trip to the vets yesterday as he has a hard red lump come up under his armpit, vet thinks it may be a reaction to an insect bite or a tick so he has antibiotics for a week as first part of treatment. Obviously if it gets bigger or does not go we will go back but it does look a little bit better today. At the vets he was such a good boy, happy to meet other dogs and the staff and also very good for the vet too, very proud of him, he is really starting to settle in now. Also he has put on a bit of weight too, he was 27 kg but is now 29.2kg, vet said he was a perfect weight and not to let him get fat!!
He does love his food this boy. thumbs.gif

Danny & Chyna champions (resized).jpg
Yesterday we took Danny and Chyna to our local charity horse and fun dog show, we entered them in a few classes each and they both did wonderfully well. Danny won the best crossbreed class, was third in the most handsome dog, fourth in best rescue, fifth in the golden oldie (over 7) and along with Chyna they both won the double trouble class (2 dogs in same family). Chyna was second in the best rescue and third in the golden oldie class. Then all the winners of each class competed for the champion and reserve place and amazingly Danny went and won the championship!! We were amazed, and so chuffed, he was so well behaved and the judge thought he was wonderful. The both got dog biscuits as prizes and Danny won a goody bag of more biscuits and toys for being champion. Don't worry peeps - although it was a hot afternoon we made sure we sat in the shade, they had plenty of water and there was a lovely breeze blowing across the field and the judge made sure the dogs were not in the ring for very long. It was all in aid of Chichester dog rescue so a very worthy cause and a fun day out for all.

A few weeks ago we took Danny and Chyna to a rented enclosed field to let Danny off lead, he loved it but lets just say his recall needs work unless you have a ball or toy to play with! A few pics of Danny in action:
