Rex's Story : Found stray/abandoned & unclaimed within a Welsh council pound: Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Rex is neutered; chipped and fully vaccinated. Rex came into us on the 4th Sept. Rex is now in foster as an only dog in Crawley

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters for at least 4 months until sure of their dogs instincts & skills, most of our dogs will need to be retained always on a lead, so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Rex's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Rex I think he's chipped 6yrs old but looks older. Again adores people/children, looks dog aggressive in kennel but once out, he's not bothered?

What a gorgeous boy Rex is! Typical exuberant staffie greeting then we had a good walk with Kim and Tiggy. Both boys were very good around each other. Rex used every opportunity to say hello to Tiggy and a couple is nose to nose greetings went well. Rex has plenty of energy and puff and likes to walk briskly. He has bags of character and was very friendly.

I took Rex out for the first time today, he is indeed extremely friendly and was very pleased to be going out walking. Although he is an enthusiastic walker he is very manageable. Rex is very friendly and is ready to greet anyone. I don't think this little staffie boy will be with us for long. He is adorable. love4.gif

OMG Rex, I am a lucky girl! I have Rex staying for a few days, he is adorable! He travelled well in the car, starting off on the backseat and then changed his mind to the front seat. He sat nicely with his seatbelt on! Once at mums, he was keen to explore and bounced from chair to chair! I think he was just excited. He went out into the garden, had a sniff and a pee and was then quite happy to chill and have his belly rubbed until he went to sleep. He met my niece nicely (like a long lost friend with lots of staffie kisses). Back at mine, he was excited and again bounced from sofa to sofa. We did go for a walk and he was quick, but easily manageable. Rex knew wait, over, sit and took treats nicely. Rex does a lovely sit and paw for a treat. He has allowed me to pick him up and place him in the bath. He had a lovely bath and now smells like baby shampoo! He enjoyed the rub down and is now on the sofa snoozing. He is definitely into his home comforts and likes to be stroked and praised. Rex likes company, and is happy to chill out and fall asleep whilst laying beside you. He has only been here a few hours, but has made himself comfortable. Housetrained too. He is bouncy, but I think that might just be excitement. He likes to play ball and will bring it back to you, but releasing it is another story, he prefers to chew it! A perfect gent!
