Oh Codi love4.gif I walked Codi for the first time, as we thought he might be happy walking with Hugo, and Hugo does enjoy having a friend to walk with. I was greeted by a bundle of excitement, body language saying, ‘is it me, is it me, are you really taking me for a walk?’ He was so good as I faffed around with his harness, couldn’t work out how to get it on and then gave up and went to find another one! He indulged in a bit of lead grabbing to encourage me to actually get on with taking him out, and when we were outside he settled into the easiest, calmest little boy imaginable. He and Hugo were very happy to walk together and got on so well They walked nicely together. Codi was beyond thrilled when I rubbed his little tummy and legs down to get the mud off, and I got a lovely little thank you lick. This little black Staffy with the odd little patch of brindle marking is a sweetheart. He wouldn’t take up much room on the sofa and he is so polite and friendly, a really chilled little boy, but he wants his own home, he doesn't like the noise and the loneliness of kennels .

We had planned for Monty(walking with me) to join Codi (walking with Jane) for a walk and Monty was delighted to see Codi and was well behaved with him from the off. We respectfully gave Codi his space for the first few minutes while Monty calmed himself, as I was sure Codi did not want to be bounced on by a Tigger dog, although Codi seemed to enjoy Monty's company and took it all in his stride. Codi was cool, calm and collected and seemed very relaxed with Monty so after a while we let the boys walk together if they wanted. It was interesting because Monty liked being in front and was busy investigating all sorts of smells. Codi was happy to follow but kept an eye on him and if he thought Monty had sniffed out something interesting he trotted over to have a look. Clearly Codi is a clever dog, letting Monty do all the work and only joining in if he felt it was worth the effort! 0002.gif] A lovely walk was had by all. Thank you Codi for helping Monty with his socialisation. x

Oh I love this little boy! Walked Codi yesterday whilst Geoff walked the girls, Keisha and Tilley. So we had three little Staffies out together and they were so good and enjoyed being in each other’s company. Codi was very excited to be going for a walk, and I am not very quick at getting his harness on, so we had a lot of wriggling!!! but when we eventually exited the kennels Codi immediately chilled and was the perfect walking companion. He was very happy and polite with the girls, really easy to walk, very happy to be wiped clean of mud afterwards and so grateful for some fussing and a nice treat. This little boy so wants his very own human to love. He is very dog friendly when out walking, but would be much happier being the only dog in the home. He is small, glossy black, very friendly, very beautiful, and he needs, really needs, someone of his own to love. Xxx

Walked my little heart throb Codi yesterday whilst Geoff walked the ‘girls’ Keisha and Tilley. Three little pocket Staffies out together, such fun, and they all get on so well and behave so well around each other. Codi is always so excited at the prospect of going out that a few minutes have to be allowed for him to calm down. I swear he thinks he is helping me, but we end up going around in circles, until I tell him to sit so I can get his harness on, or we won’t be going anywhere!! Empty threat, I would never not take him!! He is such a joy to walk when you are out of the kennels, relaxed, happy, responsive, checking up at you periodically to make sure you are enjoying it as much as him. He loves being wiped down in the kennels afterwards and if you want to see a picture of pure bliss give Codi’s back a good scratch, he elongates himself so you can have a bit more length for your fingers!! This little boy desperately wants his very own human to love unconditionally, he has been waiting for too long. No photos today, it was very muddy!!

I echo everything that has previously been said about Codi. He finds kennel life stressful and just loves to be out enjoying his walkers company. Codi is the most sweetest, lovely natured boy who just wants to be loved and to give love. Easy to walk and just wants to be friends with everybody that he meets. Come on forever home :crossfingers.gif: xx

I really feel for Codi. Every weekend I bring sausages for the dogs but this poor little thing only wants to push himself against his door and feel your touch, he really does long for human companionship. smiley-sad010.gif

Walked dear little Codi today with Hugo and Geoff. We had a lovely time and then when we got back Lynne whisked him off to the Guildford kennels, because kennel space is needed at Gatwick. I am going to miss this little boy so much, but I pray his very own family find him soon. Codi is just adorable, he’s a small staffie with a lot of love that he’s desperate to share. So good walking, not bothered by other dogs, horses, traffic. He just loves people. He’s handsome, neat friendly, gentle. I cannot understand why he is still waiting to be found by his very own humans.

I am so pleased this little man is back at Guildford as it means I can walk him and have cuddles but I would be overjoyed if he could find his forever home. He is such a lovely boy, really easy, yes he has his little foibles (don`t we all) but he loves his humans and is desperate to be loved. He just needs to meet the right person, and I can honestly say that would be me if I didn`t already have a RR dog and a foster dog too.
Today we had a lovely walk with Whitney (and Linda), Codi is very calm when walking with other dogs. Back at the kennels I always sit with him in his bed for cuddles for a while although today it was a squeeze as his bed was a small one. 0002.gif]
Someone out there is missing out on a smashing little companion.
