Current Status: Homed

Nancy needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog(s) to settle. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.

Nancy returned from her short homing reactive to dogs, she is now regaining her confidence and the video below shows how she is being supported.

Known background: Nancy was found stray/abandoned and unclaimed within a council pound. The pound paired her with another dog (Bobby) due to kennel space. When we came forwards for Nancy we took Bobby as well. However after months of waiting for a shared home we agreed to split them to give each a better chance of homing. Nancy is now neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated. Nancy was in foster with 2 other dogs in Rickmansworth. She was briefly homed as an only dog but didnt have the fluency with dogs her family needed and is now in foster in SW London as an only pet

Visit Nancy's thread for daily updates, lots of pictures and videos. Please click to submit Online Application We will match you with a dog that suits your lifestyle, please remain open we successfully home 350 dogs per annum. We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes.

***PLEASE HELP: We have to ask for suggested min. donation £175 per dog at the time of adoption, to support so many dogs in kennels. We have no state sponsorship and exist on the goodwill of the public and our supporters. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life.

Original Referral: Nancy, female staffie girl, 2-3yrs old nervous girly but non aggressive at all, more cringy nervous and wimpy, possibly been hit. Nancy is extremely sweet when she knows you and gets her confidence, was in season when come into pound so hopefully not been caught! Seems disinterested in other dogs at the moment, think she is a bit bewildered. x C

Update: Nancy is sharing a kennel with a male Staffie Bobby and has become much more confident...can you take both?

I walked Nancy yesterday and she is such a sweetheart. Very happy and friendly and constantly looking back at you during the walk. If you hunker down she will come in for cuddles.

She and Bobby are clearly chums and very happily just bumped along together.

We sat at the top of the field in the shade while Gez and Bobby were in the paddock and she just sat and leaned against my leg. She doesn't seem that bothered by other dogs as John, Jason and Tia went by heading off on their walk and she barely looked twice at them and didn't move a muscle.

We had a nice play in the paddock but it was pretty hot so nothing too energetic.

Nancy is such a lovely girl.

We met Nancy (& Bobby) yesterday. I didn't realise they were sharing a kennel until I opened the door and got quite a surprise :biggrin.gif:

Both dogs are so in tune and very respectful of each other, we do hope they're homed together :crossfingers.gif: . Nancy loves a cuddle and when we were over the paddock she didn't stray far from either of us (keeping a close eye on Bobby too). Nancy will play ball ,return it and even let you take it from her.

Sits on command, gives paw and very gentle when taking a treat.

A few photos of Nancy (& Bobby too) enjoy....

Who could resist those eyes .....
