Gilbert needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog to settle. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.

Known background: Gilbert was found stray/abandoned & unclaimed within a council pound. We stepped forwards to offer a Rescue place and save Gilbert's life. Gilbert is neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated. Gilbert was fostered with 4 terriers. Now in kennels near Chessington

Visit Gilbert's thread for daily updates, lots of pictures and videos. Please click to submit Online Application We will match you with a dog that suits your lifestyle, please remain open we successfully home 350 dogs per annum. We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes.

I met the stunning Gilbert (shame about the name ;) ) yesterday. His markings are really unique. He is a really lovely boy, so friendly and very cuddly!
Quite a livewire, and very inquisitive but a great character :D
I don't think he will be with us for long.

Re: Gilbert Jack Russell DOB TBAss East Grinstead Foster

Post by Toops »

Gilbert has arrived in East Grinstead to fill the huge space left by Jasper when he was homed today. So far he's getting on well with the boys. Ollie has had his usual grump but Gilbert took no notice and walked away. He's had his tea and asked to go into the garden afterwards so don't think I'll be having any house training issues with him.

Gilbert is a really sweet little boy, currently asleep on the rug behind my chair.

Photos to follow tomorrow!

Well Gilbert certainly seems to have settled in and made himself at home. I wondered where he had gone yesterday morning and then spotted this ....

Happy to be found I think!

Video: Found you Gilbert!

Later in the day, while the sun was shining we went for a lovely walk in the park where Gilbert met and greeted several dogs really well.

Then we found the stream and Gilbert enjoyed a paddle

Video: Paddling

Gilbert is very quiet in the house, 100% house trained and loves his food, so much so that I have to shut him into a separate room when I'm feeding as he thinks he can push Ollie away from his bowl to pinch his food. :o Nearly resulted in a punch-up so now separated for everyone's safety!

Beautiful boy.
